I love her black humor although I don't always get it. It was a pretty hard german course but she made my life easier by making clear expectations and being available outside of class.

Comment:

Gisela was great, she made German a lot of fun with her quirky comments and entertaining personality. She did occasionally confuse me, but she always tried to clear it up. She was patient with our occasional rowdiness and the workload was very reasonable. Her deadlines are also not very strict, which is very nice.

Comment:

It thought she was a fun prof, available outside of class, and a pretty good sense of humor. Her shorthand for correcting papers can be a little confusing, but she's willing to help. Overall I thought the class wasn't to hard, she made fairly dry book topics interesting, very good at engaging conversation.

I thought she was very helpful in making me understand some parts of grammar I'd never understood before. I really enjoyed her class and thought she was really laid back in class. Our class discussions were enjoyable. (The only class I've had her for has been 5th semester, though.)

not a fun class. she's what i'd call old-school german--a rather strict grader with not much of a sense of humor. "ordnung und disziplin" is her middle name.
