I am in a course that requires one of his textbooks as the course material. It is the most FRUSTURATING textbook I have ever read. The paragraphs aren't clear, he summarizes points that have no previous mentioning, and the writing style seems to emulate someone who writes to sound impressive. I am not learning anything and I cringe before reading.

While he is clearly an intelligent man, that intelligence does not transfer well to his teaching abilities. In fact, it's almost as if he would rather not teach at all, instead he prefers to rant/ramble in an attempt to bombard you with information not relevent to the course. No use of Blackboard, provides no resources, and TAKES ATTENDANCE..WHAT?!

One sentence can go on for 5 mins straight. Gets off topic a lot and is hard to focus on. No class discussions. By far the most boring class ever. Very havy reading load as well. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Contemporary Social something something...i dunno the class bored me from the beginning to end. Very intelligent but does not make the class interesting does not include students I dropped the class. A person who has all this education but does not know how to socialize. Worst PROF EVER!!!!!!!! oNLY TAKE IT IF YOU HAVE TO.

Prof. Veltmeyer is an excellent prof and very student oriented - although this often seems to go unrecognized. Beyond his teaching skills, he is a prolific scholar, reads widely and is a rigorous thinker. I highly recommend this prof. to anyone, keeping in mind that you get out of a class what you put in!

A very smart man, but has no idea how to teach. Classes are extremely boring. He does not try to include students in discussions and does not respect others for their opinions if they are different than his. I don't recommend this professor.

Useless is the best way to describe this professor. Stuck in the 1970's, he would do well to understand that theory can only go so far. If he can ever find the courage to get out from behind his desk and venture out into the real world, he may become and more effective educator.

Veltmeyer is a great prof. A little boring at times, but he's worth it. He's inspiring, knowledgeable and a better looking version of Sean Connery.
