Comment:

This was the hardest class if I have taken. It was only once a week and it was almost 3 hours long. The lectures are really heavy, attendance is mandatory, theres 1 midterm and the final which are curved. You have to read the textbook in order to pass and have to really study. Sometimes she gets off topic and since its early you might fall asleep.

Comment:

The Professor is like an old gem. She can be slow at times and go off topic but these can be excellent stories that can help you better your future in and out of the class. The class consisted of a midterm and a final, both of which were curved. LAZY people get bad grades then give bad reviews which is childish. Study the chapters, guaranteed A!

Professor Leung does not possess the ability to share her knowledge of Earth Science properly with students and brings down the image of Lehman as a whole. The chair of this department needs to step in-Questions:not allowed, lectures:endless, class enviorment:dead silent, curve grade: necessary to keep this hoax running and everyone from failing

Comment:

Final, midterm, and research paper. Not a lot of work. She doesn't use blackboard, PowerPoint , or slides... just lectures. That's not a bad thing it depends on the way that you learn. if you are a visual learner this class might be tough. This is a class that is graded on a curve which is good. Good attendance might bost your grade.

She is honestly a great professor like I literally came late to all of my classes and I still got an A- the test is based on a curve 50% on the midterm and 50% on the final so say if all students don't do good on the midterm she will add up all the scores and then you will pass you midterm sometimes when she letrure it could be boring shes good.

If you study hard, you should be fine. Professors are not there to entertain students. So if you want to be entertained don't take the course. If you want to learn geology from a knowledgeable and experienced professor and you want to be challenged, take the course. If she appears to go off topic, pay attention, she sharing gems about life.

This professor is a very negative professor who does not allow you to ask questions. She is very hard to understand and goes off topic. To pass this class you must be independent. The class has a 50% midterm and 50% final. It is based on a curve. I do not recommend.

Horrible experience. Boring teacher, you can barley understand her and what she is talking about. Getting off topic is a constant thing of hers. People are always sleeping, just study hard the chapters given and pray to god bc you only take two exams as your full grade for the class.

Went into this class really excited and she took that away. I still love the subject but she would go off topic and didn't put much of thee things of the review on the actual exam. If there's another professor to choose then do so because this one is not good at all.

Whether you pass this class or not its entirely up to you. Its an easy A. She gives you an opportunity to ask questions before the exams and gives handouts. She does not like to repeat herself during the lecture and hates lateness. If you are an independent student who pays attention and reads the chapters take the class.

I couldn't even finish the class. Let me tell you, I try my hardest to pull through things. But I positively could not be in her class. I can't help but fall asleep! Which she doesn't care about btw. She teaches what she wants and gets crabby if we ask questions. If you're a student who needs a lot of teacher interaction, DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS.

Midterm: Chpts. 1-67. Final: Chpts. 8-12 Lectures have little to do w what's actually on the 50 question Midterm and Final. She expects too many nonsensical facts to be memorized (not learned) from too many chapters, wNO review or clue of what is going to be on the exams. No quizzes, no Blackboard, no communication. Too many "trick" questions.

If you always attend the class and make yourself known to her, she'll give you a fair grade. She grades on the following example. If the highest score on the exam is a 55, that person who received a 55 would be scored an A on the exam. She would then work her way down to an F, depending on the score you received. Overall, I think she was good!

If you're the kind of person that studies from the textbook & don't want to come into class, take it. Attendance is not mandatory to grade; it'd be a good idea though since everything on each chapter syllabus helps on studying AND she grades you at least a grade higher. Of which, there's only 2 things that count for the grade- midterms and finals.

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS!! worse prof. ever!She puts half the class to sleep and the other half just leave! This prof. does not clarify your questions!! Goes off topic too much. You take only a Midterm and a Final but have no clue about any quesions.

she's super boring and most students cut her class and came only during finals. One of my classmates watched a movie and it was perfectly fine. She didn't even notice. She is super deft so don't ask questions. It's no point. She goes off topic too often. You can sleep in her class, it would be fine.

Comment:

Hardest class ever taken in four year college history. Teacher speaks lower than cheap headphones and makes the class harder than a marble floor. Very disorganized and gives out no review sheets. Have not finished the course yet so do not know how she grades. TAKE ANOTHER PROFESSOR!!!!

She grades you based on the rest of the class, everyone is an idiot so any ounce of effort put into this class will result in an A. She is sometimes hard to understand and cant answer the simplest question, however she is super smart and you will get some sort of useful information out of her

My problem with Prof. Leung is that she is not very helpful. When you want to ask questions she seems to be bothered and DONT even bother to ask for help she just wont give it. She is a brilliant woman in her subject but not the best at explaining it. I suggest taking a course with a different professor.

The material it's not that hard, yes the exams are complicated, but if you study you'll pass. the class can be challenging, but the material comes straight from the book, if you pay attention, and work hard, it should be fine. I took two classes with her and i got A's. she is an excellent prof. she knows a lot, if you study it should be OK.
