This class has the potential to be great and the material is very interesting, but there is an insane amount of reading and the pop quizzes focus on that quite a bit. This semester there were no exams but that might change. Either way, very interesting material and engaging lectures, but poorly structured class overall.

Such a nice professor! Cute and knowledgeable in her subject. Extra credit opportunities, random small quizzes throughout the semester (so go to lecture so you don't miss one like I did), slides posted online, interesting documentaries every Friday. Easy going class that taught me quite a lot about globalization. Would recommend! Easy peezy.

Such a great class, learned a lot about environmental as well as the corporate control of many sectors. Perfecto was such a enthusiastic lecturer and you could tell she was passionate about the class. The class is pretty easy but it does have weekly homework assignments that take time and pop quizzes throughout the year

Our Common Future is such an easy class. Perfecto lectures on how big business screws with indigenous people, farmers, and the environment. It could almost be a class on issues in corporate responsibility. There is either a short essay or quiz almost every week, so it's annoying but they're all really easy As.

She was a mediocre professor at best. Lecture was boring. Her English isn't great, but you will be able to understand her. She just doesn't always use the right words. The exams were impossible-they are completely short answer so be prepared to write a lot. They were also graded hard. I was not expecting this since the material is not difficult.

Environ 318 was an incredible class and is only offered every other yr, so take it while you can! I can't even begin to describe how great Ivette is. She interesting and friendly and fun. More importantly, she is extremely devoted to her subject area and spends any time she isn't teaching traveling, performing research in Mexico and writing books.

Great class! I just wish I had the time and will to put more energy into it when I was in it...if you put energy into actually doing the readings and paying attention in lecture, you'll get a LOT of knowledge and perspective out of this course.

Awesome class! She brought in a variety of guest speakers, showed intrigueing films, and really opened my eyes to the effects of US policies on the people of the world. FASCINATING course!
