Comment:

Professor Wilson is funny and accomodating, he understands humans have bad days, and allows for you to not participate in class if you are in that circumstance. The only thing I didn't like was his feedback on papers as it's very vague like he just puts check marks and "okay...". The class is pretty easy though for a Writing 2 class.

He doesn't make time for his students. When I asked if I can make an appointment to see him during office hours he blatantly told me he doesn't have time and can only meet me for half an hour. He does not give good feedback on your essays, his class requires a lot of work. He loves to hear himself talk and does not care about his students.

Thought this class would be cool given the description, but it's not. It's boring and repetitive. Would not recommend this class or the professor. He leaves almost no comments on essays and gives you very vague grades, so you really have no idea what your grade in the class is. He's also rude and extremely unhelpful when responding to emails.

Dont take this class!!! He is a pretty useless professor. He doesnt even try on his essay feedback. He just writes questions and stars. The other writing professors are way better. I only passed the ELWR because of his TA.

Overall, he is a great teacher but I don't recommend him. His goal in the class is to only understand your writing. He isn't really dedicated in improving it. His cover questions, office hours and others doesn't improve the way he helps your writing. It's just for his own benefit. He treats you more like a lab rat instead of a writing student.

He gave the impression this class would be low stress, and aim for everyone to get As. This was not the case at all, he marked you down for every little mistake and papers that were not marked down much, got a C+. When I addressed this issue he told me to Withdraw from the course and he will spend no more time on a student who negatively contribute

Such a good teacher!!! He is a hard grader but he is pretty clear about what he is looking for in your essays. Go to his office hours becuase he goes over your paper prior to the due date and can also give you extensions. Classes are pretty interesting and he gives points for participation so try and say at least one thing each class.

He is a very hard grader. He likes to grade with pass/no pass way. Very picky with essays and writing. Some of the classes were interesting and others were plain boring. The films were great. Take the class if you think you can handle the pass/no pass ideology and if you write very well.

He was a really nice guy, cared about his students. However, his grading system is weird b/c he grades your essays with pass/nopass. He doesn't even look at your essays before you turn them in, rather its done by peer editting so that didn't help much b/c other students weren't as knowledgable about writing as he was. No help in essays but a nicegu

I liked this professor a lot. He was very easy while grading our essays, although his feedback was so-so. I expected this class to be a lot harder than core, but it was the opposite. I especially liked how you could write about almost anything - this left no room for times when you have writers' block.

I actually liked the class, and didn't expect to because of all the comments on this thing.. His essay topics were really broad that you could practically write about anything. His class went by pretty fast, too. He takes class participation seriously, so just say one thing a discussion & he'll give you points. Good professor.

He was the worst professor i've ever had in my life. Didn't learn anything from his class. We watched about 3 Italian films that were boring. The guys is teaching a class on Italy yet he has never been. He will apologize for doing something wrong but he will put the blame on something else.
