Found this professor to be unorganized and scattered. Large assignments given at last minute, without regards to timing or other commitments. Spent a great deal of time just talking about her personal life, wasting valuable class time. Though it was frustrating, an easy A but I didn't learn much from her.

I actually really enjoyed having her class- one of my favorite eastern teachers! She was always very nice and makes you feel like you are really making a difference in education if you put fourth good work! She does waste time sometimes but it's always something education related so it's useful most of the time! :) i would recomend

Janet also teaches Lanuage Arts in Block I & she is just as CRAZY. The assingments are fun, but VERY time-consuming & are due at the most inconvient times. The class isn't very long & she uses the entire time unwisely & therefore never gets ANYTHING accomplished. The class would be way more enjoyable if she didn't go on tangents & actually taught!

Janet is a very scatter-brained woman who LOVES to go on tangents about anything else but the course material. She has a tendency to use distracting hand motions and talk in a very loud voice. She has favorites & you can get an 'A' if you really apply yourself. Practi****is the BEST part of taking this course & sadly, it's ONLY 4 WEEKS long!

HORRIBLE teacher. She lets some people redo their work and not others. She changes rubrics after she has given us a copy of them to create our work. She has favorites and its obvious. She NEVER gets to the point. Tells you about big assignments at the beginning of the semester, but doesn't talk about it in detail until the week before. AVOID HE

Talks and talks but cannot explain clearly what she expects or what she wants accomplished in an assignment. Very dingy. Creates alot a busy work that is not practical or usable for later in your own classroom. She gives huge assignments with a one week notice and makes them due immediately after major school breaks (e.g. spring break.

Very nice teacher. Found her to be extremely helpful with the thematic unit. She skirts around the point though, (could be b/c i had her over the 4 week intersession). I would recommend her though to anyone. You will learn how to do a good lesson plan in her class.

She tends to talk around the subject rather then explaining it and getting through it. There is alot of busy work in her class and she doesn't have the patience to explain things to you more than once. But she is a nice person, just a bit wiggy.

She was a nice professor, but like many of the education professors at EIU, was more into "busy work" than stuff we could actually use in the real world.
