lecture heavy, he posts lectures online so attendance isn't necessary but it helps if you need to ask questions. responds to emails fast and will clear any confusion. Book is req. but we went virtual this semester so things were okay without. hard class but Grades on a curve so that helps. take your quizzes, study your notes, understand examples.

This class was extremely lecture heavy, all material was read directly off a PowerPoint which is provided on Blackboard. The syllabus states attendance is mandatory but there's no penalty for missing class. You able to retake the homework quizzes as many times as you'd like, in the end, your exams make up the majority of your grade anyways. 3/10.

Very straightforward professor, extremely lecture heavy which makes it easy to get lost/stop paying attention. Professor Lewis is funny and very smart, which is why I think it is hard to keep up with his lectures at times. Requires studying outside of class to do well.

He was a difficult class, a hard grader, and his study guides didn't really match the tests. Make sure you do ALL of the online assessments. If you like reading lots of jargon and astrophysics, Intro to the Modern Cosmos is for you!

I am so glad I took his course, he is very enthusiastic about his lectures. His syllabus is to the point, and easy to understand. I would say he is one of the best professors I have had on campus, I recommend him 100%!

Jeff is a really awkward professor, he's nice but awkward. His lectures and powerpoints are really boring, like a plain powerpoint boring. Luckily he provides the notes on Blackboard. Attendance is only mandatory for labs and on exam days. It is helpful if you print out the notes ahead of time, because he can go through the notes fast in class.

I would really recommend this professor & would take again! He gave us 2 online quizzes every week but they were only 5 questions long and you were able to retake as many times as you wanted. His exam were a bit hard but he does does CURVE. We only have one 6-8 page paper but he offers extra credit. Overall easy professor !

Class was not mandatory and all power points were online, so I barely went to lecture. Labs are mandatory. He ended up curving the class so my C turned into a B. He can be confusing when asked a question, but he does try to help and wants students to succeed!

Dr. Lewis is a really smart guy! His lectures are off a power point which you have access to on blackboard. There will be four test, one of which is the final. The final will be cumulative but he offers study guides to help you study... I highly recommend everyone to complete and study the study guides. Attend all labs! Great teacher!

So boring. He knows his stuff, but his voice is very monotone. Some of his take home labs are a bit tough. There's no mandatory homework, but do it anyway. The tests will be that much easier. Don't try to copy his notes in class, he sometimes changes his slides too fast. Just print them out ahead of time.

Very smart professor who is pretty easy to understand. There is just TOO much work. He expects a lot out of his students and the work can be overwhelming. He expects you to attend mandatory computer labs, complete take-home labs (which at times can be SO time consuming), take 4 exams- ONE WHICH IS CUMULATIVE!

He explains the subject in a way that is kinda confusing, thank goodness he has all the lecture notes online. He totally disregards the slightest possibility that God exists and is very arrogant when answering challenging questions. Tests are pretty easy and there is no "homework" per-say.

I didn't buy the book for this class and I still managed to get an A-. I managed to do that by taking notes in class. A lot of people never attended because he posted the lectures online and that is where they went wrong. If you pay attention in class, do your 4 take home labs, and go to all the labs you will pass.

Great professor. Makes the subject interesting and is really excited to share it with the class. Never rude, easy projects (I did them with my kids.) If you study enough you should make an A for sure. (I didn't.) He's kinda goofy and reminds me of Ralph Nader.
