Uggh I see he hasn't changed. I took his class over 15 years ago. He humiliates people and is unjustly ugly to students. I had a severe medical issue with doctor excuses for missing class and he still docked my grade, plus made nasty unnecessary comments on papers (that were not related to grammar or content). If you have a choice stay away.

This guy is a extreme left hippy hippocrit. His whole goal in his classes to publically humiliate you. If you can help, do not take his classes. He has a worped mind, and needs to retire soon. Its time to retire this bird _ I got an A in the class but he spent most of the time playing games and he never used the text that I paid for. He plays faves and its obvious who his pets are. I also found it unfair that he spoke badly about one of the newer profs inthe department - if that is the example then we are all lost.

Doc is a wonderful teacher. In regards to what another student said about, "hardcore academics", I think that you missed the entire object of Doc's class. Education is about relationships, and building a community within the context of your classroom. Doc helps guide you through this journey of finding who you are in the education world.God Bles

I love Doc! He is one of the most helpful professors I have ever had. He is understanding, compassionate, entertaining, etc-just one of the best professors ever. He helps you to understand why you want to teach and to realize what kind of person/teacher you want to be. I took as many of Doc's classes that I could. I definitely recommend him!

An excellent teacher! People either love him or they hate him. I loved him because he was always there to help. No matter how busy he is, he will stop whatever he is doing to help you with anything you need. This is a quality very hard to find in anyone at State. Thanks doc!

I loved Doc's class! He is one of the nicest teachers I have ever had! He does assign a lot of papers but they are never difficult and do not reequire a lot of research. Doc expects his students to really think and be yourself and don't let others lead you to your opinions and views.Take his class
