I would not take his class again. He told me to show up to class with the flu and that if I was sick it was my problem and he wouldn't let me make up the work even if it was with a university approved excuse. Do not act like you know anything about cameras prior to the class. He needs to feel like he taught you everything himself.

Dr. Taylor really knows his stuff. You'll learn a great deal about shooting and editing video. If you need help, don't hesitate to ask. He'll practically do it for you if your genuine and put forth effort. His lectures are long at times, but he's done some cool and interesting things. Has a lot of real world experience he applies to his lectures.

I was going through a tough semester and he SAVED me and my GPA. He was so understanding and I'm so thankful I took his class. I learned SO much. I can now shoot a commercial and a music video. It helped me get the position I wanted in my student organization.

He is very available to answer questions and assist with projects. He later assisted to me to find a coop experience. It seems that most of the VPs of production and production managers are his former students. That was helpful for me.

Great Professor. Has alot to say about his experiences; very proud of himself, also very useful. Taught me alot. I'm not as book savvy as I am technologically; but make sure you read up and refresh yourself in the literature-comes in handy.

Try to get him on the computer when you're working on a project. The things I learned during those sessions put me ahead of a lot of people. He also helped me start my own production company.

Comment:

Isn't always clear in with the subject matter and during critique sessions he tends to criticize aspects of the project not related to the techniques taught in class. He also easily gets off topics and rambles on about himself. However, he is very knowledgeable and experienced in the field, and can actually be quite funny.

Wow. Never meant someone with such a huge ego before. Talks mostly about himself and how cool he is and how everyone goes to him for help because he's the best...blah blah blah. Tests are T/F, multiple choice and mix and matching pictures. Put effort into videos, he will notice and give a deserving grade.

Try not to go to his class when you have a headache, the man talks ridiculously loud. And he is VERY full of himself and sometimes has 3/4 lecture about himself and what he does and where he's been and who he knows. He is also very unforgiving on tests, and forgets what he said in class. And there's no arguing with him, even when you're right.
