This instructor is very disorganized. It takes weeks to get feedback. One week before the class was over the grades for work we still not posted. After 8 p.m. she gets tired and forgets everything. She uses online reading material and does not tie it in with the PowerPoint slides and assignments. Just uses a bunch of slides from other classes.

She is a very knowledgeable with regard to the material she teaches and made it fun for a marketing non-believer (prior to this class). Study the PPT slides for her quizzes and stay on top of the busy work for an A.

Dr. Washburn is absolutely brilliant! Her classes are full of life and she really enjoys teaching. She's a very fair grader, so don't expect to be lazy and still get an A. My favorite class to date!

There's a lot of busy work but it helps pad your grade. The tests are not easy but you'll find most of the answers in the ppts. You'll do fine if you show up for class and study for the test a couple days in advance. There is a group presentation at the end of the semester but it's not hard. If you like marketing, take her. She's a great professor.

This class was GREAT! Dr. Washburn is one of the BEST professors at UT! Wish we could CLONE HER! IMC plan a TON of work but our real-world client was so impressed he hired me as a consultant for his biz!! HIGHLY recommend!

Upbeat and plesant. Took as a summer class and she took no prisoners. Assigned 2 projects, one of which almost killed the class. In addition to this light load we had wkly quizes which were hard. After the class failed the 1st one she made them easier (so the possibility of her being very hard is there). Not hard stuff but that client project...wow

Great professor, upbeat, never boring. Test are not that hard but must study at least powerpoints. IMC exercises: useful but tedious, one due every week, should get an early start on each one. Attendance policy is not that strict, you'll be fine as long as you dont miss more than 3 classes. Dont get behind on IMC plan, easy but lot of work!

The class seems interesting and fun in the beginning. I will agree that she seems like a nice person, but personality aside she is not that great of a professor. Her grading is inconsistent and ambiguous. The way she grades IMCs are different from how she grades tests which differs from how she grades the IMC plan. Altogether, I would say avoid her

Promotional Strategy. This class is harder in the summer than during a regular semester. It IS a 400 level class and that's about the level of work required. If you don't study for the tests you are not likely to do well. The IMC Homework exercises are easy if you follow directions. If you're willing to work hard you can do well.

Hard tests. Big project that is demanding and time consuming. Strict attendance policy. Does not work with you regaurdless of personal issues. Fun class with interesting topics. Pays attention to major detail.

I thought that this would be the most interesting class thus far, but it turns out to be the worst! Her popularity is declining as well as the class subject. Her exams are rediculous and the IMC project is a complete nightmare- avoid if you can...
