Karl is the most amazing professor I have ever had. His lectures are truly amazing. When he is talking about a certain period in time it is as if he brings you to that period and you are truly there. I would recommend him to anybody who is even semi interested in the past.

One of the best teachers I have ever had. Since transfering to UWS I have taken one of his classes every semester becuase of how well he presents the subject matter. He teaches through different readings throughout history and it works great for me!

Comment:

Karl is a great professor but expects you to participate and be a good student in return. His classes are run like discussions and not so much like classes. You need to show up and participate. Reading tends to be a little heavy in the class but other work is at a minimal. Just read and show up prepared to discuss and you do fine.

I took history of ancient rome with him... Good professor, very knowledgable of the subject. However, there's a crap-load of reading, and there's journals on the reading every day. Overall, and interesting class and pretty cool teacher. (It didn't hurt that he's easy on the eyes and his voice sounds like robby benson. yes, the beast.)

Fun, interesting material that all tie to the French Revolution. No tests, but one essay and two group projects...and occassinal "R and R's" which are like essay quizzes...the workload is heavy but interesting.

Dr. Bahm was an EXCELLENT professor. Very excited about his subject. No tests but occasional thought provoking in class essays to keep you coming to class. Very knowledgeable about europe and a very very good instructor, great job Dr. Bahm

I liked it. It was one of the more favorable out of the classes i have taken. I like how he is open minded and loves when we controdict eacher other, him and/or ourselves. I think that makes his teaching all the more effective!!
