Excellent instructor very diplomatic he dealt with difficult students without putting them down. My classmate had difficulty with him because she is one of those who thinks that she is a genius as Mr. Kay stated "adult students always think they deserve an A" by the way saute is the past tense of sauter look it up that's what he asked us to do.

Comment:

He speaks of topics that are completely off-topic and are highly inaccurate. For instance, he was speaking of how "saute" means "cooked" and how it annoys him to see "sauteed" on restaurant menus because he felt it was redundant. However, "saute" is present-tense and it means "jump". He's always inaccurate when it comes to stories/instances.

Comment:

Khristian Kay is the best instructor I have had. His enthusiasm and dedication is infectious. He not only has the ability to make boring subjects interesting, but has the ability to motivate his students to learn more about the subject outside of the classroom. Even though he is not the easiest instructor I have had, he has taught me the most.

Comment:

Mr Kay is a teacher that take his job and his students seriously. He updates grades and provides feedback within the blink of an eye. Mr Kay's lectures (ie: life lessons) are relevant to the school's curriculum they are extremely insightful. His approach to teaching is honest as he tells his students upfront exactly what to expect from the course.

Khris took us to places we didn't know you could go for web design. Some of this was not practical for business or for industry but it was fun. He knows his stuff too in and out if you know what I mean.

This was an incredible class. Mr. Kay's methods keep you thinking, questioning everything. The final was the hardest I have ever had and yet the most rewarding experience of my educational career. He challenges you to go the distance to the extremes of your own abilities. More teachers should follow this example.

I admit I hated Mr. Kay. He was arrogant too "political" etc. But he made me realize my perceptions of things were different. Everything he did lead up to the final the hardest final ever. He said no class had ever passed his final until ours! Remember question everything, EVERYTHING. I hated him up to then but now, WOW! Mr. Kay changed my world.

He will constantly remind you to "Question Everything" to seek your meaninging, your understanding. And every class he turns your world inside out. Thank you MrKay.

This was the hardest class i ever took. i thought phl would be a fluff class. he really puts you through the paces not run of the mill stuff we do inother uop classes. the final was the hardest but not because of what you think. everything he does is setting you up for something else. i learned more in one class with mr. kay thanall my time at uop

Mr. Kay goes out of his way to make the curriculum meaningful. He revised assignments to promote our own learning style. I think some of these comments have the wrong teacher! Mr. Kay was exceptional!

He sucks as teacher! I am honestly surprised to see him still teaching! Not to mention that I am surprised to read good things about him. Was he actually happy to be teaching those courses? Teaching Philosophy? What ever happened to the IT department? In CIS 319 he actually didn’t teach computers at all. The class what a joke!
