Comment:

I was dreading having to take Art Appreciation, but taking this class was so much fun. Ms. Gibson is so passionate about art, and will make you appreciate it too with her knowledge and humor. Some of the projects take a lot of time, but they're not difficult, and she grades on effort, not quality. The group project kind of sucks, but it's not hard.

Comment:

I wish she could teach me everything she knows, thats how great she is. She is so knowledgeable and presents the information well. The critiques are so helpful too. Bonus: she writes how she talks making emails and her critiques fun to read. Her passion for art is revealed in her teaching and artwork.

One of the best teachers I have ever had! I took her for Drawing 1 and had a blast! She loves what she does and really supports her students, advises them even outside of advising appointments.

Comment:

Ms. Gibson was by far my very favorite instructor at my time at ESCC. I am not artistic whatsoever, and she made me more confident in making art. She is a phenomenal teacher, with a heart of gold. If you go to class and put for the effort, you have no reason not to pass. I highly recommend this class to anyone looking to fulfill electives!

Best teacher in all of ESCC, she will be harsh with you, be grumpy, but you will get every credit you deserve. Even those do aren't good at all can still pass it with a high grade.

Attended class Sp2014,online. Great teacher, gave indepth study guides that covered 90% of what was on exams. Inclass would have been great because she is an outstanding teacher. Responds to emails (usually) within 1 day. Several small graded projects; are easy AND add HELPFUL points to your final grade. There is a COMPREHENSIVE!! but +++notes

I took Mrs. Gibson for my drawing classes & graphic arts classes. She is a tough teacher, but if you go to class, do your work & at least care about the class she is by far easy to get along with. She is a no nonsense teacher though. Just show her respect and you will get it back. I loved her, I still consider her a huge impact on my life & art.

Ms. Gibson is by far one of my favorite professors! She is very funny and knowledgable of the subject. I first took her for art appreciation, thinking that would be the only time I would take any art, but I enjoyed the course so much that I am now an art history major, and have plans to purse the feild to the doctoral level. Highly recommeded!!!!!!
