Comment:

I originally had a C in this class and decided to retake it to raise my GPA. The second time I took it I received a B. I had never seen any form of calculus before I took her class. I worked very hard and had to get a tutor to pass and then raise my grade. She is a wonderful teacher, really explained things thoroughly.

Ms. Lester is extremely helpful and really cares about students. As long as you take good notes in class and study you should do alright. She's also great in her office hours.

Comment:

I hadn't had a math class in 10 years, I knew this was going to be a challenge. However, Mrs. Lester never made anyone feel dumb, she was always offering solutions if you needed some extra help. You need to stay on top of assignments though, there is a lot to cover during the semester. I would recommend her for anyone taking math.

She taught the material but she isn't what I would call a good teacher. She talks to you like a child learning math and took off class without telling us (had a sub instead). I don't like her teaching method. Each class there could be homework to turn back, a pop quiz or neither.

Your former math knowledge will determine what you get out of this class. I'm used to calculus so it was hard dumbing everything down to simple math. Attendance is mandatory. Do your homework, study for tests, and try not to fall asleep in class and you'll do fine.

wonderful teacher! really clear and used relevant examples to help understand the awful world of calculus. very picky about notation however and took off points for little things on tests even if the final answer was correct. besides that, she was great!

Lester is a GREAT teacher. Goes over homework daily, thorough in lectures, answers questions. Grades based on tests & homework. Tests are challenging, but study notes & check your answers and you should be fine. Overall a really enthusiastic and helpful prof.

Ms. Lester is awesome! So clear, cute, and helpful. She is always in a good mood and is determined for everyone to understand and do well in her class. This was my second time taking Math 129 (my 1st prof was HORRIBLE) and Linda was the reason I got an A. she is wonderful. Highly recommended!

The best teacher at wright state I've had so far. I don't see how anyone can say anything bad about her. She will even give you more points on your test if you talk to her about your answers. Plenty of extra credit as well! Great teacher

If one could search without limits for a professor to manage a class like MTH 145, someone more ideal than Prof. Lester could not be imagined! Though the material was incredibly basic by my standards, there were those who couldn't figure a percentage when the class began. She was patient, kind, and crystal clear in her methods. Perfection.

Prof Lester really knows her stuff and knows how to deliver the message. Highly suggest utilizing her vocab and procedures EC. Not only will it get you bonus points, but it's a great study guide for the final. Definitely one of the best teachers I've had - ever!

Linda Lester is probably one of the best math teachers around. She made material very easy to understand & gave plenty of examples. I hated math & dreaded taking this class, but she made it really easy. If you're not the best at math, I definitely recommend taking her. It's a lot of work & time consuming, but it pays off in her class. Take her!

My favorite teacher of all time I would take anything that she is teaching. She cares about her students very much and wants you to understand. She goes through the steps in great detail and will explain if you dont understand. If you have trouble with Math take her, she cares.

There is no point in reiterating what everyone else has said... She is simply the best. If math is not your personal forte' try to get into her class. You have to register early because it is no secret that she is the best professor in the W.S.U. math department.

I have never hated a teacher more than I hate her. She will set you up for failure throughout the course. She will give easy examples in class, and then expect you to be able to do much harder ones in homework and tests. I took calculus in high school and already knew how to do much of the material, I can't imagine having her teach new material. NO
