I absolutely loved Dr. Cramer! She's very goofy and the class is very interesting. It was one of the harder classes I've taken at UNC, but if you really put the work in, it's doable. My advice would be to do the learning objectives then add EVERYTHING she says in lecture to your notes because what she says always comes up on exams.

Online classes are a unique situation but she wasn't understanding & spent most meetings or quiz reviews defending her question choices instead of helping us understand the material. Ik it was an adjustment & she was receiving a lot of backlash, but students should never be afraid to ask for help out of fear of having her make you feel stupid.

Dr. Cramer is by far the best professor I've ever had. Dr. Cramer is very knowledgeable and truly cares about the students taking her class. Yes, the class is extremely difficult due to the amount of material covered and some of topics discussed. However, put in the work and an A is attainable in this class. Not to mention you get to learn so much.

She is a sweet person but it does not make up for the fact she expects you to be a microbiologist when you walk through the door. This is the hardest class I have ever taken. She expects you to know so much it is insane. She gives lots of extra credit opportunities though which is nice and lab was pretty fun and easy. Good luck you will need it!!

Lorraine is honestly a gem. There is a lot of reading for the homework but she provides learning objectives that she uses to make the test questions. Very important to fill these out while reading. Her exams are very straightforward but requires studying ahead of time due to the large amount of material.

So much homework, this class alone required me to do more homework for it per week than all my other classes combined (learning objectives are basically required). The lectures are dry and it's really difficult to ask questions since I worried she'll think my question is stupid and call me out. She also has a roundabout way of explaining things.

Dr. Cramer is very passionate about Microbiology and she cares about every student. This class is difficult with a lot of homework and reading, but that is what the class material is about and Dr. Cramer tries her best to help every student. I recommend going to her office hours as she is a great person to talk to!

Dr. Cramer made me anxious to come to class. She constantly yells in her lectures and is annoyed by any questions (even thought she mostly ignores them). The exams are ridiculous and the sheer volume of she wants you to know is insane. The material isn't really that hard, but the way she presents it makes you hate the subject.

Cramer treats you like you're already a microbiologist & expects you to know everything before you've even entered the classroom. A lot of busy work and reading & none of it is touched on in class. She is an awful lecturer & embarrasses students when they ask questions. In class, she told us that she was having a bad day & was taking it out on us.

I disagree with some. Even if you study your brains out, this class is difficult. DO THE EXTRA CREDIT, because you will need it! Cramer is fine, but she ADDS a lot of key info during her lectures that is NOT in the book, so record the lectures and listen to them again. She talks very fast. I learned a lot, but her tests aren't easy.

I LOVED this class! Dr. Cramer really values feedback from her students and completely reworked how she teaches the class this semester because of past complaints. You definitely have to put in effort because it is a lot of material to digest. But if you're dedicated to truly understanding the concepts, she will do everything she can for you!

Dr. Cramer such a friendly person, but her class is VERY difficult. Lectures are helpful because she tells you what to focus on, but her exams are literally verbatim from the textbook. If you actually do the readings and the learning objectives, you will be golden in this class (speaking from experience)! Lab is fun and really easy.

Amazing professor. Initially, I was terrified to take this class, having heard about how difficult MCRO is. However, Dr. Cramer made this my favorite class. The class has been restructured to include extra credit and fun projects. If you read the textbook and re-listen to her lectures, you will be fine. Truly inspirational. I'm sad that it's over..

Dr. Cramer is a superstar. She goes above & beyond to try to be relatable, accessible, & make sure students learn the material. If you go to class, do the homework, & read - this is a very reasonable class. She's funny & has thought up fun assignments to further engage students - they're not as hard/time-consuming as they initially seem.

Dr. Cramer is VERY dedicated to her class and is trying her best to make things interesting. However, she recently switched up the coursework and the new format is NOT working considering a significant chunk of our grade is missing. The tests aren't too bad but does require you to extract random details from lecture. Go to the SI sessions!!!

The class is fine; the material is interesting and important. Cramer-not fine. She doesn't know how to lecture at all. She can't finish sentences orally or in writing; lectures go over the book stuff without adding more to it so they're pointless but mandatory. Gives us a ton of work to make it "fun" but it's just too much and makes you hate it.

I am in Dr. Cramer's class right now & I just have to say she is the most hard working & caring professor I've ever had. Yes, the class is difficult & time consuming, but the material is so interesting & applicable to real life it makes studying worthwhile. Her exams are NOT tricky! You have all of the resources you need to be successful.

I have never seen a professor as excited about the subject material or more determined to help her students succeed. The class was the most challenging I've ever taken, but the difficulty is unavoidable, reasonable, and material is interesting. You will succeed by using every resouce and studying every day. Do not underestimate it, and have fun.

I loved this class. people complain the tests are tricky, but they are not tricky. They are rather simple. I think people are overly interpreting the questions. She really cares about her students. you should go to her office hours. at least study 2 weeks ago. recommend the class. go to the class since polleverywhere questions are provided everyday
