If you didn't take her for ASL I,you'll likely be behind.She clearly has her pets & treats former students much better than new students.She can be very condescending,rude & hurtful if you're not one of her pets.There's absolutely no forgiveness on late assign.or attend.-you'll get a 0!TON of work out of 3 books(more than I've had in any class)

Ms.Childers is a horrible teacher! She is rude and teaches us like children. She doesn't state clearly what she expects of you and her way of teaching is ridiculous. Don't take her if you don't have the patience for bad teachers.

I would highly recommend professor Childers. I took her for ASL 1 and ASL 2. The class is not easy; you have to do the homework and attend class, but if you do you will pass the class. She wants to see students succeed. She is extremely knowledgably in sign language.

Professor Childers is great. She cares about her students and as long as you come to class and do your work, you will receive a good grade. She is fair and willing to give extra help if you ask. I would highly recommend her.

Lucretia is a great teacher! I had her for both ASL 1&2 and I plan to take her for 3. She is flexable with the assignments and grades easy. Do the assignment get an A. If the class is having a hard time with the assignment she will give extra time. Most of the people who had a hard time in her class,had another professor first and were way behind.

I just finished her ASL 1 class, and it was pretty good. At first she was very unclear what she wanted, but after awhile its easier to work with her. She answers any questions you have and doesn't require a lot, and she grades really easy, I got 100 out of 100 on my final. She likes to have parties, over all she's a fun teacher, just stick with it.

The most important thing teachers should be able to do is be organized. This lady is not organized and she constantly changes her mind on what is due when. I've read bad reviews on her but ignored it b/c i needed the credit and now i regret that. She is also disrespectful to students at times. Interrupts them in the middle of their questions, etc.

I highly recommend this class. Tough grading throughout-final grade was reasonable. Homework and review is very useful. The assignments and due dates were ambiguous-Lucretia was flexible with lateness. The class was challenging and valuable. The teaching style was ideal for the material. My approach to ASL changed-enough said for a language class.

Luckily, I only had this woman for one class. She was so unclear on what she wanted and she kept changing her mind on what was due when. We never knew what to expect. She needs better communication/organizational skills because our class stayed confused. It was a lot of busy work and I didn't learn much in her class.
