I personally did not like this professor. She does not explain things well. I went to her office hours multiple times and came out even more confused. If she asks you something and you don't know it, she stares at you until you get it, instead of explaining which does not help at all.

MADHU IS THE BEST PROFESSOR AT USCIENCES. SHE DESERVES A PROMOTION FOR SURE!! SHE SHOULD BE DEPARTMENT CHAIR!!! Cares about students, but you can't just memorize to get by.

Dr. Mahalingam is one of the most passionate and caring professors out there. She will go above and beyond to help a student anytime. Exams are do-able with hard work along with staying on top of lecture & homework. Overall, class is super fair with an amazing teacher. Would take again!

Lots of hw with mastering chem and ALEKS, but Maha is a great person who actually wants students to succeed. She posts a studying schedule she recommends the first day of class BECAUSE so many students struggle and she knows this. She can be sarcastic and will rip you apart if you don't know your stuff, but she means well. LOL

YES I am that student who somehow passed with an A- despite ALEKS being a thing. Things to know about Maha: 1. For first semester, she's very understanding and lenient. She will give you full credit if you DO Mastering Chem- even if it's late. 2. Her office hours are there and she's super willing to help you. 3. She knows everyone by name...

Get ready for a rollercoaster of mental breakdowns. These exams are impossible. But don't worry if you have a 58 2 weeks before the semester ends because she doesn't put any of the busy work grades in until the very end. Lectures tend to be pointless because she gets very distracted. but GOODLUCK!!

Dr. Mahalingam is an amazing. She is super organized and gives you so many opportunities to do well including her lecture outlines, mastering chemistry, and she posts old exams. If you understand the concepts and math you should do great on the exams (which isnt hard since she explains hard topics so they are very easy to comprehend). Take her!!

Can't complain, teaches well, if you visit her office hours, she is VERY willing to help. Also what i liked about her class is that she gives mastering chem and other little extra points and assigment to BOOST your grade. Helps raise your grade alot!

AMAZING TEACHER. EXTREMELY EASY TESTS. I GOT AN A+ IN THE CLASS. HUNDREDS ON EVERY EXAM. BEST OUT OF THE THREE ANYWAY. TEACHES VERY WELL. AND ACTUALLY REALLY CARES. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !!!!
