I took the online class and barely skimmed by. Your only source of study material is the textbook (which wasn't too bad since there is an audio version that really helped me study). The tests were hard to study for and included chapters not in the assigned testing chapters. The summaries were not as difficult and an easy grade in the class.

DO NOT TAKE HIS DL CLASS. Syllabus is unclear and is updated frequently. He did not upload the syllabus until AFTER the first week when the semester started. He barely responds to emails. Grade is cumulative of 4 unit summaries and 4 exams. Be prepared to read and take good notes & STUDY - he does not provide any guidance/understanding at all

The class initially seems simple. However, you're only graded for a few things (exams and essays) and the exams are difficult to study for. It doesn't help that there is no rubric for the essays, and the syllabus is unclear. His on campus classes may be good, but the online course is more difficult than it needs to be.

I'm confused at how he has gotten any good ratings on previous semesters (which is why I initially signed up for the class). Nobody has been able to talk to him directly so I've been emailing other students and we've been confused together. Scared I'm going to fail. He gives no guide, just really really hard tests with irrelevant questions.

I signed up for the distance learning course, all my class was given was the text book and syllabus. After several emails to the teacher most students just emailed each other. It was a game of telephone. He would respond to maybe one student and that student would spread the word to the rest. Otherwise unresponsive. Would never take again.

Do you like clear instructions and timely feedback, or any feedback ? If your answer is yes, then do not take this class. He does not respond to emails, he is hardly in during office hours and does not give clear instructions. All you get is a textbook link and a poorly written syllabus. He does not even deserve to be called a professor.

He is nearly a virtual no show. Not only did he not post anything until the last day allowed during the 1st week of the semester but he also posts no study guides for tests and the ones provided by the online book don't match any questions on the test. He does not respond to emails and his rare posts are hard to understand. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS.

This dude is basing his tests on an old edition textbook and not the one that is required for this semester. It seems to me he did not want to rewrite the test to relevant things covered in this semesters textbook. DO NOT TAKE HIS COURSE UNLESS YOU WANT A 70 OR BELOW!

DO NOT TAKE I had this prof for an online distance learning class. In a DL class students depend heavily on emails and Blackboard announcements for communication. This prof was TERRIBLE at communication and RARELY posted any clear instruction as to due dates, tests, ect. Prof put minimal effort into teaching this course.

Very disorganized and unclear most of the time in his teaching (so get ready to read, a LOT). The tests were detail oriented and pretty hard. Seems like a nice guy but he's not the best teacher in my opinion.

This class is reading the entire textbook, which somehow were supposed to memorize every little detail, and watching every possible video on the online module. Tests are ridiculously harder than needed, questions about odd information, some of it within a separate chapter not supposed to be on the test. no study guides. Teacher was too hard

Everything you will learn will be from the textbook, there are no other materials... You have to read THROUGHLY don't even think about skimming. Her test are a joke, half the questions about very specific things in the book and the other half based on introductory videos you can't even find in the book. She's non communicative, ended up dropping.

Took his online part 1 of American History, this man was MVP kept everything simple and straight forward. Did not give out unnecessarily complicated assignments. He seemed to understand 'hey this is an online history class no need to try and change the world' and kept everything concise.

He sets out four exams and four 2 page papers and that was it. The exam and papers were due on the same day which made remembering deadlines easy. He has NO involvement with students online so if you like to be spoon fed go to someone else. It's History though, self explanatory, stop whining. Textbook is easy, takes 45-60 min. to read per chapter.

he had rambling nonsensical lectures. I took him for Mexican American history and he's clearly passionate about the subject, but doesn't seem to know how to teach in a structured way. extremely easy class, we had 3 three page essays and zero tests and I showed up like half the time. I didn't feel like I gained anything from lectures, only readings

There are four tests and four summaries. He expects you to read the entire book and memorize it. There were no study guides as well. WASTE OF TIME to try and take this class. He did not communicate and did not grade the summaries until the end. The tests grades were the only thing posted in the grade book- only because it was automated in there.

I decided to take the online 6 weeks course which was not extremely difficult. The Professor was pretty hard to reach which was not very helpful. Chapter summaries were required which were graded very strict. The tests rely heavily on the online textbook that focuses a lot on the videos.
