This course is a necessity for anyone who wants to go into teaching. Dr. Chaffee teaches students to research qualitatively, and she does it well and fairly. If you don't want to do this type of work, teaching is NOT for you.

I totally disagree. I think Professor Chaffee was awesome, and even though her class was hard as hell, I still got an A. As long as you do the work you'll be fine; it doesn't take a genius to figure how to do well in her course. Additionally, Professor Chaffee was probably the most FAIR professor I've ever had. Tough, but fair!

She's incredibly knowledgeable, and her classes were generally interesting, but the problem is that she gave absolutely no direction or expectation of results for the single (!!) graded item for the entire semester. Sorry, but when you base a person's grade on a single (huge) assignment, it would be helpful to get some direction.

I think they should drop the professor and not the course. Even though I got an A in Growth through Inquiry, Dr. Warring-Chafee failed to realize that we have a life outside of her course. The workload was way too intense, and even though she always had a smile on her face, she needs to lighten up!

I agree that the class itself was a huge waste of time and needs to be dropped, but Dr. Chaffee was always encouraging and happy to clarify anything, even multiple times.

The Growth through Inquiry class is the worse class that I've ever been forced to pay for!!! I can honestly say that it was a waste of time and that I would never use any of the information she tried to give. Cabrini should drop this horrible class!
