Comment:

Jackson has been one of the most amazing teachers Ive had. Shes a more accepting teacher and not to sound cheesy but the entire class felt more like a family. Could have a lot to do with who was in the class but she definitely helped us a lot. As long as you do the work which isnt a lot youll do fine.

*I am currently still taking her class*. May I also remind you, this is a BASIC public speaking class not a Advanced class. She gives maybe 8 grades overall during the semester and grades very hard on all off them. I believe I gave good speeches every time, and I always ended with a D or better. AVOID AT ALL COSTS if you dont want to stress over it

I agree with many posts; the professor very rarely communicated with the class. However, the work is very simple and has due dates that are way longer than the time needed to complete them. I chose the mock interview for my final project and it was the easiest final I've ever had! Take the work seriously and the class is a breeze

The syllabus does not explain the way that the course is structured first off. For a communications teacher she is terrible at communicating and is also very rude. Also there is a pitfall at the very end of the course so be careful. The entire course locks if any work in the first two units is missed and she WILL NOT unlock them for you at all.

There are a lot of busy work tasks in this class. Reading each chpt, chpt quizzes, 3 exams with essays, 6 subject essays via chat, 2 major projects which one is group. This class stressed me out! At the end she explained by stating she was trying to reproduce an 'in-class' environment. For me, that does not fit my needs.

This class wasn't bad. As expected you have to work in groups a lot. You also will write a few papers over tv shows, take chapter quizzes on blackboard, take 3 tests, and do 2 big projects. The first big project is a group project over a movie, and the second project is a mock interview.

Ms. Jackson communicated with the class the first week & when she posted a quiz,test or a D/C board, and a month before the semester was over to let us know we should not procrastinate at the end of semester. She lacks on responding to questions.It was weird because although it was an online "class" I felt as though I was teaching myself.

Lectures were interesting and informational.If you want a good grade,you'll need to show-up. Some points were based on easy,in-class activities. If you heard every lecture,the test were a breeze.There were several papers that were done as a group as well as a group project.If you aren't lazy and go to class, there's no reason not to get an A.

To be a communication teacher, I feel she did not communicate very clear on her instructions of what was expected.Good luck getting help for her group project. I didnt like the fact that she assigned 2major projects at the very end of the sem. which gave you very little time to complete, along with the dis questions.She showed very little compasion

Lots of talk about babies. Discussion boards where annoying. The class may have been better if it where in person but I have had professors make online classes more interesting. Lot of female students...kind of weird.
