Comment:
Difficult to understand. Poor explanations due to language barrier. You must be ready to rely heavily on the textbook since his lectures are practically useless on their own. He is a quirky funny guy and you might laugh at his jokes but the exam and quizzes can be brutal, given how unhelpful the lectures usually are. Steer clear if you can.

Lectures didn't follow book and were mandatory. He's extremely hard to understand. Grading was very unclear, sometimes wrote only a grade without saying what was wrong. Homeworks were difficult. HW solutions were unclear and used methods not covering textbook. Quizzes/tests were homework questions. Strongly suggest avoiding him if you can.

Took his physics 1 class over the summer and actually really learned alot! He was very helpful and wanted the class to do well. It was alot of work and we had at least 4 hours of class per day, so I would not recommend taking this with another course over the summer but other than that he was awesome.

During lecture, he is at best slightly-understandable and at worst completely incomprehensible. But this guy really, REALLY wants you to do well -- he puts a million-and-one resources online and is always willing to help. It's easy to dismiss how much you struggle to understand him when he gives you so many ways to supplement his lectures.

He was a funny professor with a great attitude. He spoke broken english, but that made for some great class laughs. His exams are directly from the Fundamentals of Physics text book assigned homework. Before the exams, he has works out the solutions to all the assigned problems, and allows you to bring a index card to each exam. Fill out index card

The man deserves a Nobel prize just for the amount of time he puts into preparing his lectures / notes. He offers a COMPLETE set of notes that must've taken hundreds of hours to compile. I have no doubt that his notes will be an invaluable reference for me for the rest of my life. (For instance, 70 pages of typed notes on relativity alone!)

Soph lab is easy with Suzuki. He grades pretty easily as long as you include everything in your report. His accent is a lil hard at times but you'll understand him. He's very nice man who wants his students to learn. He's pretty funny too if you stir up a conversation with him. Deff one of the better physics teachers in a poorly run department.

Suzuki is a nice guy. He tries his best for his students to learn physics. He gives out hints what will be on his exam and allow you to use a "cheat sheet". His sound effects were more entertaining than the lectures he taught.

He is the man. Lots of hints on what will be on the tests, even the final, and takes test questions straight from homework, barely changes up the numbers. And he's hilarious, not too hard to understand (yes its a heavy accent but you can figure it out), in class his math is way over my head, but the exams have nothing to do with lecture.

Brilliant professor. Genius, even. Barely comprehensible, moves through material so quickly that it's impossible to keep up. Doesn't time classes well to homeworks e.g. homework assignment due the day we finish a chapter (homework submitted online).

This man is a physics genius. It's just the material that is difficult. At least try to scan the textbook and DO THE HOMEWORKS! Homework questions are exam questions.

Suzuki is a brilliant man and understands probably the best physics prof. I've had. He's unintentionally humorous in his lectures as well. The only problem might be a lack of comprehension between both of you. Despite the difficulty of the material, his tests are fairly simple as long as you do the homeworks and understand them.

Obviously knows what he teaches. Humorous guy. Proves his work. Only problem is the language barrier, which isn't his fault. But try to pay attention in class and use the textbook and you'll do fine.

Prof. Suzuki is a brilliant man and knows anything you'll ever need to know about physics, but there is an enormous language barrier. He is comprehensible if you're paying attention, but students often do not understand the questions he asks - and he often does not understand our questions either, which makes him difficult to approach.

suzuki is the man! He is the best prof in the physics department by far. He is so funny, and the (unintentional?) enuendo's in class (we still arnt sure if thats how he meant to pronunce 'psi') make for plenty of laughs. Great sense of humor, great teacher.
