Dr. Kohler is a great teacher. Her class is not one you can slack through, but if you give it your best she will do what she can to help. I would love to take a class with her again, and I highly recommend it.

Dr. Kohler is one of my favorite professors at UAB. She is so sweet! Her tests are very straightforward. Her views lean a little liberal in the education world but otherwise she is great!

Dr. Kohler is a wonderful professor. This class is very interesting. However, the only grades (other than H.S.A.) are from tests, and her tests are by no means easy! Try to go to every class, pay attention, and READ and you will be just fine.

She's funny & very smart. She knows what she's talking about & has personal experience to help explain things, but that by no means says that her tests are easy!They're actually very tricky. It was so disappointing. If you ask questions about the test, she gets overly defensive & argumentative. Be careful with observation logs! She will fail you

Suggestions: 1. Go to every class if possible 2. Read the book and take very detailed notes (some questions on tests are directly from her lecture and not found in book) - If you study, do the objectives, and attend class,you should do fine. She is very nice (and funny), but she expects a lot out of you. Definitely one of my favorites!

I was able to get an A in her class, but it was not easy by any means. Out of the five classes I took that semester, she was the teacher who had the most challenging content. You will learn a lot, but expect to give a lot of yourself in the process.

Dr. Kohler is a STICKLER! If you don't come to class she will almost fail you. Her notes are so easy to understand and her tests are pretty easy as long as you study well. It's all multiple choice and not confusing. I made A's on everything in there and I didn't even feel like I busted my butt. Just go to class and be on time!

I enjoyed Dr. Kohler. She really cares about her students. She is busy all the time so sometimes she forgets what she has covered, but she is a good teacher and really nice and sweet. Study the notes from class, read most of the text, and do well on the case study and you will be fine.

The class is easy if you attend and read the book. But she doesn't teach you to think critically. It is pure lecture and almost a repetition of PSY 101. She gave us our observation sights very late in the semester, which made it difficult to complete the hours.

She has been one of my favorite teachers. If you come to class prepared to take notes, study the objectives she gives you, and actually... READ the book, you should have no problem making an A or a B. Make sure when you go out to observe, you follow the "common sense" rules. Be on time to her class! Her test are directly from the material covered!
