Comment:
I took this class in Summer I. It was challenging and I learned a lot. There are problem sets which students are expected to work on and bring to class. Dr. Politano doesn't grade them but he goes over the answers. There were two take-home tests and a 5-10 pg. project. Class usually lasted an hour. All that said, you have to work hard to succeed.

I took Dr. Politano for Stats over the summer. He kept the lectures short because he didn't want to overwhelm the class with math. He didn't seem too passionate about the course, but he made it understandable bearable. He is great about meeting with you if you have questions, but if you have questions make sure they're specific. Would take again.

I took statistics with Dr. Politano - and I would just like to say, I am HORRIBLE at anything math-related, but Dr. Politano was very generous with his time; he would meet with me several times a week to go over practice problems. Lectures may seem mundane, but he sneaks funny comments in throughout, which makes the class tolerable. Great professor

He makes psyc statistics very easy to understand. Grades fair and gives amble opportunity to make an A in his class. Also very intelligent. He came up with his own calculations to use instead of the books to make it more simple.

Overall a good professor. If you dont go to sleep you should do well...Also EVERY time you fall asleep he takes 3 % points off your FINAL grade. This class is not for sleepers! And sucking up to this professor wont work...only by your merit will get you your grades! Ask questions and go to him for help and you should be fine.

Great professor, very intelligent and helpful. Still does the test week thing, assigns homework but randomly grades it. Good professor, definately made stats tolerable.

Great teacher! He has exam weeks where he gives you a test Mon, Wed, Fri. You get to keep the highest grade. If you make bad on one you have an oppertunity to do well. Makes Statistics fun. My recomendation is that on exam weeks take all the test even if you make a 100 on one. Exam grade A!!!!
