Mike Powell can be a great teacher, if he showed up for class. I had 2 classes with him during my 2 quarters at AIPh and he cancelled 4/10 classes my 2nd quarter. He's not very clear on what he wants. On more than one occasion he promised me a grade if I did a bunch of extra work and when the grades came in, I followed through, he did not.

Mike was great! He taught me exactly half of what I know about color theory (Jack martin filled in the gaps but Mike got there first.) Seriously, he was helpful and motivating. He always had great stories to tell. He would encourage the heck out of you if he saw you were giving him your best.

I loved his classes! i really liked that he put most of his concern in the ppl who cared to be there. he didnt waste time and effort on students that were there to play games. he was always there for help when you needed it. very laid back and understanding of life in and outside of school
