Comment:

Professor Linver, makes you work for your grade. She gives weekly lectures (sometimes more than one), you should take notes in order to pass tests, and on top of the lectures you have weekly Pearson assignments. In class she has you do activites, and these activites count as particiption. Her test are hard, but gives you a study guide.

This class should have been an online class. I wasted my time going to school for one day just to do in class activities. Her lectures are boring. Her exams are hard, she'll give you a study guide and it consists of everything in the chapters and on the exam there's only ten percent of the information. I have no idea why her rating is so high

Class is organized with pearson activities, discussion board, attendance is mandatory, and you have to raise a child on myvirtual child program. Reviews are just a bunch of questions. 3 EXTREMELY HARD exams. Skip class ur lucky if you pass, in class and attendance is graded. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS UNLESS U TRULY NEED IT.

Good professor but lectures are very boring. Attendance is mandatory and there is in class group work. 3 exams which are hard but you are given study guides. 1 observation project due at the end of the semester, which looks difficult to do but ended up being pretty easy. There is also a my virtual child done through the computer and semester.

Not a bad professor Very nice and down to earth. But unbearably boring lectures. Thought I would like the class because of the material, but found it completely dreadful because of the way she taught. Not a difficult class, but if you could take someone else I would.

She is an awesome teacher! All she does in every class is read from powerpoints. She's such a sweetheart and funny. She's very down to earth. She does not take attendance but she has 10 in class assignments that get graded and if you're not in class for those assignments you won't get the points. Very staightforward. Did not give a lot of work.

Great professor! I loved her class it was so informational. She did not have many assignments at all. She was very understanding and helpful. She graded very easy. I would take her again! Attendance isn't mandatory, her power points were online so I didn't attend a lot.

I barely showed up for lectures and took ABSOLUTELY no notes and still passed with a B+. You just have to do a good projectassignment and do the discussion posts and pass the 3 tests and you're set. Super easy class.

She is a horrible horrible teacher. Like I seriously loved the subject that's the only reason I taught myself the necessary material to pass. Her lectures are POINTLESS they don't help you at all... she just goes on and on about irrelevant stuff and never stops talking about stuff that just wastes time.. TAKE TREASURE COHEN INSTEAD!! Shes amazing!

She is wonderful! Just pay attention, do discussion boards (3), 1 project, and she is an easy grader. She counts participation with "web clicker" which you can do from your dormhouse, just log on at class time and answer the questions and they dont have to be correct. This class is an easy AB!

Prof. Linver is very nice and helpful. The class is interesting but can be dry at times. If you read the book and do the study guide for the test you can get a good grade. I got an A on all her tests. Random in class activities provide for more points.

Great teacher, very passionate. She knows what she teaches very well. However she doesn't always convey it well. She mumbles and gets off topic very easily. I did not touch the book once or even buy it and got an A. Her study guides for tests are practically useless. Take good notes, go to every class, and pay attention and it's an easy A.

Took her for FCST 215 and FCST 200 .. she is so easy and very clear.. her powerpoints keep you interested and the iClicker is a kind of fun way to get participation points.. gives out study guides and as long as you know the material you will pass the tests! The assignments are detailed but as long as you do everything you will get an A! Love her!

shes so sweet, you get an clicker in the beginning of the year and you answer questions on the remote that come up on a powerpoint, even if you get it wrong you get credit...that is your participation grade and you need to get to 80 points, 3 exams, and 2 assignments, 5 discussion boards

Great class you will learn a lot, the workload is doable but you must go over the chapters for exams and study....I personally think the Study Guide is totally USELESS and too much not even half of the things end up on the actual exam...but you can pass her class if you attend class and take good notes...

Infant Development. Dr. Linver was very nice and easygoing. She covered the topic nicely and encouraged class participation. There was a lot of info. to review for the exams instead of pinpointing what she specifically wanted us to know.

Comment:

Don't mind Dr. Linver, however, I would not take her again. She goes off on unrecoverable tangents sometimes and also takes random things (not discussed in class) from the book to put on the exams. Only two papers, which are easy, and an easy grader, but her lectures frustrated me. She did make it interesting, but I don't like her format.
