Nelaine was great! Lectures were at a pace that was great for retaining info. She offers a lot of resources to help if you do not understand and seems to be very available outside of class; she genuinely cares about our education. Exams reflected the course content but be sure to study. If you go to class and ask questions you should do well!

Comment:
Somewhat confusing lectures, hard exams. The final exam was not very representative of what we had covered, but instead a huge amount of marks came from one several part question on a single topic. She definitely cares about chemistry and is enthusiastic, but I'm more concerned with quality education, clarity, consistency etc.

She does not speak English very well. She has notes that you have to finish by yourself. Do it yourself questions that are hard. She will try and meet you to ask her questions. but when you go and ask her she makes you feel like you know nothing

Was an extremely hard tester, expect crazy hard final exams and hard "do on your own time" questions.

She is very professional and has a passion for chemistry. She has a strong research background and will expect you to be committed. She may be a little tough, but she does it to encourage you to learn. Overall, great professor; helpful, well informed, and approachable. She expects that you won't be lazy though, so don't take her if you are.

Somewhat thick accent makes understanding sometimes challenging. Only has few ways of explaining a topic. Is very open to helping students in and outside of class time and is eager for students to do well.

Arriving late is quite normal for her, exams are very long and not really what was covered in class. My success in this class I believe was limited due to her teaching techniques, sometimes seemed confused about the course material herself. Wouldn't take class with her again, sweet person, bad teacher.

She always arrives a few mins late and is unprepared, so it's wasting your money in a sense. She is not clear at all and doesn't teach things well and often seems confused of what she is explaining. Also misleading about exams. Just super unprepared! Going to lectures was painful & I learned this class from reading countless pages of the text.

Horrible, horrible, horrible teacher. I learned more from this teenage girl who volunteered her time in a suplimental learning program. In Mora's class I would say "huh???" Then after the teenage girl would translate, then I would say "Oh".

She is very hard to understand since her english isn't always that great. She has a hard time explaining concepts and you basically have to teach yourself everything.

She's very confusing. Luckily I had just taken chem 060 from a great teacher, or I would have been totally lost. It takes her 15 min. to explain a 3 min. problem. Hard to understand her english sometimes. Takes FOREVER to mark and return tests.
