I had her for psy 101 and the easiest class i have ever took!!! I did not show up for the last half of the semester and still got an A. You have 3 chances for 1 test and there are 7 units. I went with my own pace but if you like listening to lectures, she explains it really well and will answer your questions and emails.

Comment:

I had Dr. Kress for intro during one of my first semesters at MCC, and then whenever I needed to take a PSY class, and she offered it I took it. I took PSY101, PSY220, and PSY150. It was her first time teaching PSY220 in my last semester and she did wonderful, she is always willing to work with students to help them succeed.

Professor Kress is amazing! Although she advises you to buy the textbook, I wouldnt bother I didn't use it once. Everything you need to know is in her lectures and she also provides a student copy of the notes online. One of very few psych courses that dont require you to take notes the entire time!

Don't waste your money on the textbook, you don't need it! All the information on the tests are in the lectures. Lectures are very detailed but prof. Kress does an amazing job explaining everything. This class has no homework or classwork, there are 7 tests throughout the year and u can take each tests 3 times to get the highest score. Super easy!!

Comment:

Great professor for human sexuality, since her PhD is in BDSM fetishism. Not afraid of differing opinions (unlike students in the class), but you will be forced to defend your position, which is great. PowerPoint based class, but I enjoyed it. Class is based on a few multiple choice tests and "thought papers." Easy A, but super interesting stuff.

the course is fully dependent on 7 exams. You can miss class and just simply read over the notes and be fine but she gives real life examples for each theory and idea that I do recommend going to class. Good professor !

Professor Kress is a great professor and makes sure you have all of the resources you need to succeed. Her power points are online so you can print them out and follow along. Her lectures are interesting and she keeps the class engaged. There were 4 tests and 4 papers (2 pages each). Not too much to handle but enough to learn a lot!

Professor Kress is very sweet! She is caring and her lectures are very interesting. You can easily get an A by studying and taking the psych practice test. You get three tries on every test. Professor Kress does not give homework and you will not need a book because she provides handouts with everything you need to know.

She was an ok teacher, this was my first semester of college and she seemed a bit laid back I think. At least for my class, she only made us print a packet that discussed the unit and we went over it in class. If you miss a class, you have your note packet along with hers on blackboard. Her style might change though, I'm not sure.

Prof. Kress was one of my favorite teachers at MCC. She was very clear and concise with her material and provided study guides for all of the exams. She graded things very quickly and posts the scores online. She related the material to current events whenever possible which really helped. The course was emotionally difficult but worth it.

Amazing PSY Professor. only 4 papers that have to me a min of 2 pages. gives extra credit, and is willing to work with students. having the text book helps alot with studying for the tests. only 4 tests. she is a wonderful professor and would take her class again.

This class is a sensitive subject and she taught it so well and with dignity to all involved. It was easy to understand everything she was saying. You do need to read the books but she goes over the chapters you read as the lecture in class.

Amazing professor, makes the class interesting to attend and easy to pay attention in. She avidly looks for class input and loves feedback during class. Lectures are always interesting and tests are easy as long as you read the books and study the lecture notes (which are on M-drive). definitely recommend this class.

I loved taking human sexuality with this lady! She made the course fun and had a ton of information! She is right you do learn more than what previous knowledge you already had. The whole course is mostly reading and the tests are multiple choice. Only three papers which are easy, I took 101 with this with her and will take more if I can!

Class was mostly lecturenote taking, not a ton of discussion. Tests are easy if you study for them, multiple choice. Papers are super easy. I barely used the book, learned most of what I needed to pass from in class notes. She was very nice and was understanding about personal issues that affected my attendance.

I took PSY101 with her also. Absolutely love her teaching style. Don't buy a text book because she has all of her notes through m-drive. The material is a little strange, but would take this class with her again
