Prof. Lopez is such a gem! I can't stress enough how inspirational this man is! He only has a midterm, final (notes can be used for both exams) and a research paper more of a reflection paper plus one extra credit opportunity. Do yourself a favor and take his class!

Loved Prof Lopez for Hist30! Graded by a Midterm, Final, a 5pg museum visit paper and optional extra credit movie reviews. Allows notes during exams, which are pretty easy if you pay attention in class and take good notes. Lectures can get boring and he does get distracted, but no HW and a pretty easy A class. Very sweet and can be funny sometimes

He doesn't stay on topic. He is difficult to pay attention to. He is really disorganized. He lectures the vast majority of the time about trivial things that aren't on the test.

Amazing professor, you really need to pay attention in his lectures to get a good grade on the tests. Only a midterm, final and a research paper for my 16 week semester no homework. I could have received a better grade if I studied so that's on me.

Prof. Lopez is very knowledgeable, he is very funny and insightful. He does lecture a lot, but make everything more interesting. His test are not too hard, just make sure to keep up with his lectures and read as well.

I really loved this class last semester passed so fast. Mr. Lopez is very nice. Lectures; midterm and final not too hard; with some tricky questions. And a paper to write about historical place to visit. I just can say I still miss not to be in his class.very interesting facts about Mexican's history I didn't know.

I loved him!!!!! Such a great professor. His midterm and tests were really not that hard. He gives you a study guide. You don't really need to remember many dates just have an idea of for example " The Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo":) I recommend his class!!!!!!!!!

This was one of few classes I've taken where I actually looked forward to attending. He truly knows, even the smallest details, about what he is talking about. Interesting and funny. Tests are lecture based, there's only 2 and a research paper on a historical site visited. Great professor.

The person who gave him an average rating needs to stop complaining and stop being lazy. The grade's not just going to come to you; you have to earn it by making an effort in his class. He's fair and lets you know exactly what he wants. Reading is unnecessary since he's that great of a lecturer who really knows his stuff.

He lectures clearly, I took him for Chicano Sociology and all the exams were in a bluebook and a textbook was used. I also took him for Mex-Amer History 31 and all the exams were multiple choice and a book was not used. TAKE HIM!

he lets you know exactly what you're looking for. if you're lazy and don't want to read or take notes, don't bother wasting his or your own time. here's a tip: if you throw his phrases back at him on tests, you'll get a higher score. i learned that there's so much more than black and white racism and he's not unfair, he just has high expectations

he's a tough grader. he didnt teach it well enough and the whole class was based on 4 quizes and 2 tests which worth 200 points. he doesnt give any EC or anything. i didnt learn anything in this class. many people drop his class and its about 20 people left in there.

This man is insane! He grades unfairly because if one person has the answer he gives full/some points but if another person has the same answer, he/she gets none. He does not teach at all and he made my friend cry uncontrollably and didn't care, just walked away. He's making my first semester at college HELL so I withdrew from the class.
