Nurse Had a midterm and he did not tell his classes we needed a calculator so that was nice having to do all the math without one. He is a nice guy, just wouldnt recommend for a teacher.

Seems like a caring person, but this class was ridiculous. You are expected to teach yourself the entire class because he only talks about a fraction of material in class (mostly unimportant stories). He wants you to know everything and won't give any assistance for test or assignment material.

Comment:

Overall great professor. A little disorganized in setting up the blackboard course, but it is manageable. This class has a lot of information and therefore cannot possibly be covered in a 3 hour window. Does require you to read through the assigned chapters to obtain a full scope of knowledge.

Comment:

Good teacher. Nice person. Has a high-pitched voice, however you get used to it. Very HBT inspired. Make sure you read the textbook though. Class content is brief and to-the-point.

Phil was unclear on assignments. Never were sure what he wanted when he gave an assignment. He specifically told the class, "Don't listen to what I say in class. It's irrelevant. Just go home and read your textbook". So...... Don't show up and you'll still pass. He does give in class assignments but states in syllabus when they are. BUY THE TEXT!

He's okay at first. Very little direction and support. He will not advocate for you as a student, and is a terrible mentor. No due dates though! Just be prepared to hand in everything during exam week. Good Luck!
