Comment:

Rich is one of my favorite professors. His class is extremely interesting. He does his best to make learning fun. Gives great lectures and tells stories, that are applicable to the course. Truly cares about his students. Rich is always happy to help and guide his students. Assignments/quizzes are fairly easy.

Comment:

Rich is an amazing guy. He loves what he does and loves his students. His class is ridiculously easy and he pretty much tries to give all his students an A. His lectures are funny and interesting and he brings in lots of guests. Rich is probably my favorite professor i've taken at the U and I would take his class again in a heartbeat.

Comment:

Rich is easily one of the best professors i've ever had. He genuinely cares about his students and their success. He is very considerate and knows that his class is not the only class you are taking. He keeps homework at a minimum and truly cares that you are learning and understanding concepts. Ten thumbs up for this guy.

Rich is the man! Physics can be a very tough subject, but he cares about you as an individual and he wants you to pass. I don't think we failed anybody in either 2010/2020 this semester I took it. He works with you and your grade is based of how everyone is doing in the class, not a black and white cut off line for each grade. Take from him!

Comment:

Really funny and kind guy, but he was pretty disorganized and seemed to burn out a bit at the end of the class. He talked a lot about medical applications for the physics concepts, which is probably great if you're a premed student. I'd recommend him, but only if you're able to learn from textbooks and not just lectures.

Rich is an amazing person, and I absolutely loved his lectures because they were entertaining and interesting. However, I didn't enjoy his style of teaching at all. He is very disorganized and goes on major tangents every 10 minutes. The tests were difficult because Rich doesn't write them. Its an easy A because everything is curved.

Rich has to be one of the best professors at the university. He has the most amazing stories to tell and is very good at breaking down difficult concepts. He cares about every student and wants them to succeed. If you have the chance tot are a class form him, do it! You wont regret it.

This is the perfect class to fulfill a science gen ed! It's all useful stuff about the body. Lots of cool in-class demonstrations. Quizzes and tests online except for the final. There are usually a few test questions that only come from the class lectures so try to be there.

Rich is incredible and his class is actually entertaining. The assignments and quizzes can be a little tricky at times but they are all take home and you can use the book (and friends). This was a great first college course. I learned a lot, there were a lot of fun science demos, and honestly just take this class because Rich is a teddy bear.

I love Rich. Nicest professor, and he truly cares about his students. He knows his stuff (PhD in physics and also a medical doctor) and the demonstrations were excellent. I think this is the best professor I've had thus far. I don't usually enjoy physics, but everything learned can be reflected in normal life, so it was well worth it.

Comment:

I do not have interest in the medical field, so I took Ingebretsen's course as a general elective. Long story short, if I had to take any general elective, I would want a professor like Ingebretsen. The lectures were enjoyable and he does a great job of making the material fun to learn. Seriously, he is an incredible professor.

I took this class for a GE requirement that fulfills my "Physics" credit, and I'm so glad I took it instead of an actual physics class. It helped relate more to my major. HW is super easy. Rich is a gem. He tells you exactly what will be on the exam. Exams are super easy. If you need help during exams, he doesn't hesitate to help. Great class.

Hands down the best professor I have ever had! You learn so much from him, not just about the subject but about life. He is so nice and funny and is the kind of person you want to be around. He cares about his students and will do so much for them. Even though the class is easy, I have learned more from his class than the last 4yrs in engineering.

Rich is the next Bill Nye. He just cares that you learn and he will do whatever needed to make sure you to well in his class. He is the funniest teacher and always entertaining. The class is super easy.

Rich is a real sport. He's hilarious, has funny stories to tell, and generally has really fun classes. He tries really hard to make sure all of his students do their best, learn what they can, and have a really good time. He's the real MVP.

Rich is super freaking awesome. His class is interesting, his lectures are precise, and he is entertaining, which really helps keep focus. He is passionate about medicine and physics, and is a great professor. Go out of your way to take physics from him. You will not regret taking it over the summer, and you will have an excellent professor.

Rich is easily the best professor I have had during my time at college. He truly cares about his students and does everything he can to help students learn and be successful. He uses demonstrations and videos to keep his lectures interesting. You will not regret taking a class from Dr Ingebretsen.

Rich is probably one of the coolest professors I have had my entire college career. Truly a awesome guy! He teaches an interesting class, and makes it super easy to understand. I thoroughly enjoyed this class -- and I highly recommend it to anyone and everyone!
