He talks the entire time - sometimes (about 65%) over, but does allow a 15 minute break at some pt. You don't need the text book - you do need online access codes, this includes textbook. Accent isn't too think, easily get used to it. Sometimes talks in circles causing you to be like "wtf?" Uses online, will reset, but u get a 0 for anything reset

I could not STAND this class. I dreaded coming to this class every Monday night. He was mean and didn't like answering anything! HOWEVER...when he did answer a question he made you do the work until you got it. Also coming to class EVERY Monday was a great help. Despite him being mean he's a GREAT TEACHER~!~! Thank you Mr. Kim for being strict~!

I am not saying he is an easy teacher, he will work with you the best way he can. He is very intellegent at what he does. He has an accent, but he is easy to understand. The test are duplicated from the homework questions he provides you. Do all your homework and get them all right I guarantee you an "A" in his class. The problems are easy2 moderat

I took Calc1 with Samuel Kim and he went through material slowly n detailed so if he's ever done it fast in the past its not so anymore.He also gives you all U need to refresh Ur knowledge required for this class so its extremely helpful if U had a gap between high school and college.Just dont be lazy, do all the homework and U wont have problems.

Despite a small accent barrier, Professor Kim is a very good professor. He might beat several concepts into your head, but he tries his best to help students in the class, even if he appears confused by a simple question. His tests are short, but he gives out partial credit. Recommended, and got an A in his summer Calculus 1 class.
