Dr. Blunt was hard to learn from in my opinion. She wasn't very good at explaining the content and never seemed confident about teaching it. She missed class quite a bit, so we would often have substitutes. She did provide some extra credit opportunities towards the end of the year that were helpful.

BEST CHEM 141 professor. my friends that had other professors for this class were jealous of me. Dr. Blunt is super nice, very helpful, and wants her students to succeed. You can ask her any question you want and she is good at explaining material.

I really loved Dr. Blunt! There is lots of homework, but she makes herself available before and after class to answer questions. Also, she holds study sessions before every exam and gives extra credit. This class is tough and fast-paced, so in order to pass you really need to put in the work to understand the material.

REAL TEA. out of the chem141 profs, she is the best pick. trust me. this class is tough. so much material, its unbelievable. Blunt understands this, and will offer grade boosts, extra credit, curves, and test extensions. from what ive heard, shes the only one that does. also she wont make you buy a clicker-theres no quizzes! shes also nice!!!

The lectures were just rushed through, with little explanation on how to do the work. She doesn't have the happiest personality, and she doesn't explain things well in class when you ask. We weren't schedule with other chem classes, and our exams were NOT multiple choice like other professors. The one plus about this class is the extra credit.

Goes really fast in lecture. Barely takes a breath. So things are hard to follow. Hard to learn from. She does offer lots of extra credit. Available for help all the time, but even in office hours goes too fast, just hard to follow. Not good at teaching on my level of understanding. Teaches at high understanding level.

Dr. Blunt, though nice enough, is not the best teacher. She reads DIRECTLY from her PowerPoint printoffs and doesn't explain material that well. Everyday,it seems as if she only is trying to get through as many slides as possible. I would recommand another organic teacher, maybe Walsh. The class is hard no matter what, but she's not the best choice

Great class. Advanced organic so the material was very difficult and she explained it all very well. She has a lot of knowledge in her area. Shes a great teacher and also very nice outside of class. It was a very fun class.

She makes organic chemistry easy to learn. If you are willing to go and get some help even if you don't think you need it, she is willing to help and what she says is very helpful. She is really able to help her students understand the big picture. If you have to take organic which many do, she is the best at teaching it.

Dr. Blunt is an excellent teacher. For a subject that is not easy for many to learn, she definatly presents the material well. On top of that, she is always willing to answer questions and has been very approachable outside of class.

She knows her stuff. She just can't teach it very well. There's a difference between lecturing and teaching. She lectures. If you're going to understand this subject, you'll have to reach that point on your own or be at her office door constantly. If I had it to do over, I'd try to take this at another university.
