everyone says this class is easy but its harder then you think .Also dont go by his lectures read the textbook . Study for this class there's questions on the exam that are in the textbook you wouldn't even pay attention to .

goes off topic lecture is pointless just read textbook. Very cocky prof just cares about clout and being ,knowing. Not a hard class but you have to study to pass . Just read the textbook . PSYA02 is way better Joordens does not teach it i felt like i learned a lot more

Actually I am from programming background but just for fun I had enrolled his course there on coursera. After a while I literally loved the way he taught and created interest for his subject in me. though it was the longest course I ever took on Coursera I really enjoyed it and the enthusiasm was constant for all 11 weeks.

His lectures overall are great, but he doesn't cover much in them. He focuses on the subjects he likes and we have to read the textbook to know the info he didn't give us which is like 60-70% of the stuff. And if you skip out on the textbook, you will FAIL the final. A lot of assignments worth little that take forever to complete. Oh and 50% Final.

Took this class with an online option. Test aren't bad , but not not easy either some questions can surprise you, Make sure to read the the textbook lectures don't help he goes off topic and doesn't really care about his students just fame and being a vegan

His teaching is messy, goes off topic or gives useless information, Talks about his personal life way to much, if your in first year pretty much says your stupid and know nothing. Does not like students emailing him or correcting on lecture mistakes. His exams are a hit or miss. Pay attention more to the textbook his lectures are useless.

I loved Professor Joordens. His lectures were so interesting. He is able to keep his students focused and interested in the material. There was no midterm, resulting in the final being worth 50% of your mark. The final was fair and not hard. I studied off his mtuners. All in all a great prof would defiantly recommend taking this course!!

Joordens is excellent in creating an engaging environment to learn. The course is not heavy, its just that monitor and keep up with the deadlines with those small activities because they still make up the other half of your mark. Do your best with the PeerScholar activity, a lot of people went from A to B mark . Final exams is 95% textbook

the lectures are not mandatory, however, they are fun to attend as the professor engages well with the class. If you want to get a fair grade, attend the lectures and just listen as it helps to make the information you read BEFORE class relevant to real-life events. Study well for the final exam, but other than that great course.

Prof. Joordens is a solid professor. Sure, his lectures material isn't really tested on the final, but I still enjoyed watching them because he was very interesting and engaging. To do well, the key is to read the textbook and take good notes. A 50% final may sound scary, but it's super doable if you just study a week or two before.

He is a good lecturer, but his lectures are P O I N T L E S S. There was 1 question from the lecture out of the 100 m/c exam, so honestly don't bother going to lecture unless you're interested in stories and rambling. MAKE SURE to read the textbook and MAKE NOTES cus the final exam is all based on that.

I liked him. He's nice and funny. He has a really chill vibe BUT don't let that fool you. A 50% final is NOT chill. Printing out and memorizing 83 pages of notes 8 hours before the exam is NOT chill. So even though it may seem like the class is all fun and games take it seriously, write down deadlines and meet them. You'll do gr8

He's pretty funny and gives really engaging lectures. However, he sometimes runs over his time and has to post a YouTube video to explain the rest of the lecture. Also, he promotes his band A LOT. He can be kind of annoying after a while. Also, the class is available to watch online.

Comment:

Professor Joordens is a great lecturer. He makes classes really fun and interesting. Like its a 9 AM class and I never feel like I want to sleep during the lectures. There will be a lot of assignments though so get ready for that. Also, if you like Biology, you'll love this class.

Excellent coursera course but you have to do a "real world peer graded assignment" which may take several days or a week to wait for others to give feedback. I had to make a post in teh optional discussion forums for people to "review" my "real world peer graded assignment"
