Dr. Moehrle is the main reason I went back to UMSL for my Masters. He really shows you what you can become if you work hard enough at the material. He has a passion for accounting and its infectious. If you can approach work with the same openness and positivity he does, you will overcome any challenge and make a great career for yourself.

Currently enrolled in Accounting Reporting IV. He tells you what is going to be on the exams; however, completing the entire problem without notes can be very difficult if you haven't practiced it. He doesn't really lecture in class. He has videos on mygateway that explain some of the major portions of the class. In-class exercises in every session

Prof. Moehrle is one of the best teachers on campus - definitely in the Accounting field. He really wants you to understand the topics and will go out of his way to assist you. Tests are straight forward but difficult. Study the notes you take in class, they will help you tremendously.

Comment:

Steve is easily the best teacher I've ever had. He really does care about his students and will go out of his way to help you. However, keep in mind that he teaches ADVANCED accounting classes, so they're not supposed to be easy! You've got to keep up on the work and try hard. Steve is pretty witty at times and class was enjoyable.

Steve is always very helpful and will go out of his way to assist you any way he can. Tremendously positive and motivating. Won several awards for teaching excellence. Financial Reporting IV is found by many students to be quite difficult, however most of the class only covers consolidations. Once you get that down, it is smooth sailing.
