I could write an entire book about how amazing this professor is. Honestly, all professor should be like him, not exaggerating. He is the definition of a really sweet and caring person. He always told us we were the best students and to always fight for our dreams. HE REALLY CARES ABOUT YOU. He recently retired, but is the best teacher EVER.

Comment:

He is AMAZING! I wish he taught more classes or that there were more teachers like him. He will make sure to help you in any way he can. Always available, make sure you understand the sample final exam (go to the study session he offers) and you will pass this class. Two tries for tests and as many as you need for homework. Best teacher ever!

This is an awesome teacher! He is very helpful and makes the class fun. He loves talking about his experiences and all of his adventures, and he has a lot of energy for a guy who is 68 years old! My only complaint is there was A LOT of homework online, which takes at least 5 hours of your time per week.

I have never liked math or been good at it. Savel is a wonderful and helpful teacher. I also took Math 96 with him, also on-line. I only bought the MyMathLab and did everything through it. He responds to all of your questions very quickly and explains things in a way you can understand them. Be communicative! He is there for you!

I took him for two classes back when he was still at Southwestern. I can't stand math because I am not good at it, but Mr. Savel is seriously like the nicest guy in the world. Compassionate, always a kind word, and sincerely enjoys teaching. If you struggle with math like I do, he is the prof for you because he is truly a great TEACHER.

I have nothing but the kindest words and utmost respect for this man. He is caring and endearing; and loves his dog Sophie. Steve deserves the person of the millenia award. He has a way of teaching that makes understanding math incredible easy. I LOVE THIS PROFESSOR !

The Best Teacher I have EVER had. I will be sad when his class ends.I have problems with depression and he actually made me feel special. Thank you for being such a great teacher and really making me feel important. The things you have taught me, not just math but life in general I will take with me for my entire life. Steve Savel, is really good teacher. I got A's on my 1st to 4th test and two of it is a 100 percent and that's because of him. The way he teach and giving a review test it's really help a lot to the student. That way you know what's on the test. I really recommend him. Plus he s cool teacher too and his easy to approach.

The best Math 95/96 professor I have ever had. He was really passionate about teaching and does care about the students. He really prepares you for the final exam. I've had fail the class 2 times and thought that math wasn't for me, but he really encourage me and help me understand it. I pass his class with an A. MAKE SURE U TAKE HIM!!

Amazing. I evaulate instructors professionally for the military and Steve Savel has got to be one of the most dilligent, compassionate and enthuastic teachers I have ever met. He should be in every classroom where math is being taught. If you see his name, sign up for his class.

Let me start by saying I don't understand Math at all. It might as well be Chinese. However, with my lousy attendance (which I don't encourage) and my math disability.. I was still able to pass with a B. He goes over everything right before tests and is so commited and helpful. Savel just makes math make sense.

Savel is simply the best mathmatics teacher I've had in my life. I've attempted the ELM 8 times in my life and had taken math 96 perhaps 4 times and have never managed to pass this class. After a six year break from college, I returned and was lucky enough to be his student. He's patient, positive and entertaining. I wish he taught statistics!

I had failed this class miserbly last year. I was dreadng taking it again, since I had to. Prof. Savel is AWSOME!!!! I can actually understand math! He had work through a program called course campus, I took a online class, this was the best program. You could learn three different ways, and then you had prof. Savel there the entire time!

Mr. Savel is the best math teacher I've ever had. I failed the class last semester (well, I dropped out halfway through), and he petitioned for me to take it with him. He's very clear and communicates very well- it's very easy to get a good grade if you do the homework and take the tests. BEST TEACHER if you're bad at math! Take him!

Fantastic teacher. Really wants his students to succeed. Made an online class very personal and felt very connected. Does several on-campus tutoring sessions, very prompt response to e-mails and discussion board postings. Goes out of his way to help. Would definitely take again.
