Comment:
VERY, VERY dry professor, lectures are almost painful to sit through. Tests aren't bad. The guy is just old as dirt and needs to stop teaching, I don't think he engaged a student or the class in a discussion the entire year...the MOST boring prof. I had at WIU.

Not helpful at all. Very strict He will never admit he is wrong. Long and a lot of home work with no grading at all. also there are two project with no grad at all you have to read article 20 pages and up than you get nothing on it just doing it. I hope he get out of the department very soon because he does not do any good for student.

Very knowledgeable. Class was a little dry and he kept us the entire time (2 ½ hours). Tests were hard but a note card was allowed. Quite a bit of homework. Notes were more useful than book(s).

The guy knows his stuff on poverty and discrimination policies. The tests pretty much cover the material from lectures, and the research paper isn't horrible. The girl who sat next to me had to leave class early to pick up her kid from day care, but he was pretty understanding about that.

Quite a bit of homework, mostly T/F questions straight from text. Exams are out of notes, don't have to read book except to do homework. He lets you use a notecard on exams. Have to write a term paper. Very helpful if you go to him with questions.

Very boring, but does allow you to use a notecard for exams. He gives very long homework, but gives extra credit a lot. Most classes are just examples of the stuff you do for the homework.
