Comment:

I took Spanish with Professor Santana and was very nervous about taking a foreign language and was concerned on the difficulty of the work. I found her to be very knowledgeable on this field, shes a very nice, sweet and extremely intellectual person. She cares deeply for her students success. Grading is easy and encourages thoughts and success.

Comment:

Foreign language classes are uncomfortable. Santana has a way of making a potentially uncomfortable class comfortable. The homework isn't heavy, the quizzes weren't difficult (but actually helped you learn), and the exams were presentations. She was always willing to stay late or make time to help her students succeed. I would highly recommend!

Comment:

Santana is an absolutely amazing teacher. She really cares about her students and strives to help them through their difficulties with the language. She is very energetic and passionate about her class. The main portion of the grade is from the presentations. good instructions given for these, follow those and you'll be all set!

I love Santana! She's a little crazy but no more so than any other language professor I've had. She's big into class participation but I mean it's a language class, you should be ready to speak. She's very approachable outside of class, always willing to help however she can. I would take just about any class if she was teaching it.

I am a very shy person... and she just couldn't deal with it.. from talking to me after class and scolding me about how quiet I am, to embarrassing me in front of the class. She gets very mad if no one knows the answers. Very over powering and intimidating. has one of the worst attitudes ive ever dealt with.

Love her enthusiasm. She is very spunky and fun. She is a little disorganized and there's no defined syllabus with dates. So if you're a type A, organization oriented person, it can frustrating. She uses oral/PowerPoint presentations instead of exams. Very time consuming HW. They are good if your a bad test taker! But bad if you have stage fright!

Santana was the best professor I have ever had. She is incredibly passionate, fair, kind, and real. She does everything she can to help you to understand and fall in love with the Spanish language. If you put in effort, you will do great in her class. She is always willing to help out a student, but she knows if you are not working hard. Take her!

Santana is the best language teacher ever! I am so lucky to have had her! People think she is hard when they don't show up and do the work. If you show you are a good student and do the work, you have no excuse to pass with flying colors. Minimal homework and oral presentations that were not intended to trick you but help you learn. LOVED it!

She claims class is supposed to fun, but if there is a misunderstanding or a joke made that she does not feel is funny WATCH OUT! She makes most of my class feel uncomfortable and nervous, you never know when she might go off. Poor excuse for a Professor. :(

First impression matched final judgement! She is a hyper, caring, and a motivated teacher who used positive encouragement to motivate students. I took her class in the summer where I though topics would be rushed but she kept everything very smooth. I would love to take another class with her

She was horrible. I missed ONE class all semester and she claimed I had an issue with attendance. We had like 5 grades total, when we had hw every single night, but of course it wasn't graded. Got a C in her class, never got below a B before at ACC. Makes fun of students, isn't helpful, goes off topic constantly, etc. NOT RECOMMENDED.

She makes the classes fun, but sometimes rushes through a particular subject. Her exams are verbal presentations which can be difficult. She will take the time to help you if you need it. I overall was disappointed with her but she is probably the best the school offers

Fun! Keeps you interested. Very Helpful! Loves to have fun and teach in an exciting way. Not too much homework, never too much to handle. Just little quizzes every once in a while, no big tests - presentations instead, which are fun and help you learn more easily than writing down on a sheet of paper. Good class!

While she was really enthusiastic and nice, the lessons were unfocused. We didn't study grammar enough, which set me behind and is causing me to struggle this year in the next level of Spanish.
