Comment:
Dr. Teitloff is probably the best Math 2060 teacher at Clemson. That being said, the class is still one of the hardest math classes you will ever take. His teaching consists of mainly concept and where it comes from and a lesser focus on solving. The exams in this class are not easy, but you do get a notes sheet, and that helps balance some.

At first I didn't like Dr. Teitloff because his entire class consisted of me rushing to write down notes and then having to teach myself. However, he is very relaxed and gives learning activities and quizzes that help prepare you for the exam. During online classes he was always available and he rounded by 89.4 up to an A without me even asking.

He is a great professor and always posted his notes on canvas, which was very helpful because I mostly had to teach myself through his practice problems. He flies through lectures, but there is a lot of content in calc 3, so that is pretty understandable. If you have a question, he emails back very quickly and is willing to help.

Solid and fair grader. All lecture notes with tons of practice problems are uploaded to canvas before class starts. Plenty of practice exams. Provides solid reviews in class prior to exams.

Great guy that you can tell definitely loves math. He lectures most days with his notes on a PowerPoint that he makes accessible before class. His notes are life savers for his class! If you show up, pay attention, and do the daily activity in class, youll do great in his class.

Teitloff was great for 2080. I can see why he may not be as good for 1080 because he doesn't control those exams, but his exams pretty well matched the lectures and the homework for us. He lectured off a chalkboard, which I liked because he didn't go too fast, and he did more than just examples for us in class.

Basically went to class, did examples, and left. Examples were exactly like the quizzes he gave, so really didn't learn how to solve any problems, just memorized specific ones, which was terrible for taking the tests. Calc 2 is so hard anyways so definitely take it with a teacher that will help you better than Teitloff.

DON'T TAKE HIM! His lectures lacks structure. He doesn't explain the problems well he just writes them down and expects us to understand it. Most likely this class with Teitloff will make you appreciate a high C low B. I got more out of Khan Academy videos than I did going to his lectures.

If you are not good at math or do not enjoy math, do not sign up for Teitloff. His class is extremely thrown together and lacks structure. If you put in enough work and attend pal sessions, you will exceed in his class, but if not you'll be like half the class who gets excited when they see a 70 on each exam.

His class is very cookie cutter. Show up, work example questions, do a worksheet, leave. There is almost always homework that is pretty rough but still doable.

The man is faithfully late to class but knows his math. If you don't have Viktirova, register for his class. Helpful quizzes and virtually no homework. Show up, ask questions in his office, and put your all in. If I did I would've made an A like the rest of my class. Laziness will result in a 79 (So close, I know!! Grrrrr...).

Dr. Teitloff is very laid back, likes to tell stories during class, is 10 minutes late to class after the first couple weeks, and cancels class before breaks. He will most likely show you a theorem and tell you "Well, that's about it" and move on. However, he is very helpful outside of class and answers emails quickly. No written homework.

He is a very friendly and overall good professor. He is very available through email and office hours to answer questions. He usually explains topics well, but often makes mistakes on the board. He is late to class often. He always cancels class before breaks.

Teitloff frequently makes errors during class. He can be very laid back, but he isn't very understanding usually. He once took off 3 points on a 10 point quiz just because I drew my z wrong according to him. He said that I had to put a slash through the middle when I asked him about it and he said he emphasized it in class, but he never did. Avoid

Only sign up for Teitloff if you are good at math. If you have passed Calc 1 and 2 with flying colors, this is the teacher you want. He moves quickly, takes a laid back approach and doesn't drill the information into you. 4 tests on the semester with an option to exempt the final. If I wasn't good at math, I don't know where I would be though.

absolutely my favorite teacher at Clemson! He keeps it #real and his life is full of crazy stories and he gets pretty #ratchet. The tests were super easy and he was very entertaining. Hopefully you are lucky enough to have him start the class off by singing an old country song.

Avoid this man at all costs. Although his tests are easy, he frequently makes simple mistakes in class and tends to get irritated if you attempt to correct his errors. He is consistently late to class and has anger management issues.

Comment:
He is very confusing and often goes off on tangents. Which can be funny but relatively annoying. Seems to not know what he's doing. Makes math mistakes at least once a class period and throws temper tantrums if he makes too many and is corrected. Forgets about tests and got mad and walked out of class once the day before a test.
