Comment:
I actually took his class a few semesters ago and it was HARD. Tabara is clearly a smart guy but he can't teach to save his life. Our class had F averages on all but one test, even after redoes. If you bombed, the amount of points offered in redoes is usually not enough to raise your grade to passing, even if you correct every single mistake.

Tabara is not the greatest professor. However, he wants no one to fail, he lets you use notes on tests and even gave my class 3 take home exams. Exams were hard because the lectures were monotone and not very hopeful. Not an easy course but he is willing to help everyone pass. Ask for help and you should be fine.

He expects you to understand his monotone lectures quickly and will send you home to teach yourself. Practice problems are not similar to exam questions. Exams were difficult because of both of those things. Switch while you have the time.

His lectures dont make any sense. Talks a lot of nonsense. Gives NO examples during lecture. Thinks he is right when he isnt. Tests are hard and dont correspond to lectures. He is terrible at teaching a class. Half of the class dropped. No one understands the material he teaches. Would highly recommend to choose a different professor.

He is nice, but his test is too hard for average people. If you want to get A, you have to spend a lot of time in the math.

His lectures are hard to comprehend and you do have to put a lot of effort into this class. Although he is hard he does want his students to pass. Some take-home tests, full notes on tests and final, extra credit, and at the end, he drops your lowest test score. Hard, but you are able to pass!!!

Seriously no one in their right mind should ever take this guys class, he is the worst teacher I have ever seen or taken in my entire life. Lecture is all the nuances in the chapter but he doesn't show or help in understanding how to do the problems. Seriously don't waste your time taking this waste of a professor.

DO NOT TAKE!! His lectures are not good and doesn't make you understand the material. Never gives examples to apply it to actual problems you might see on the tests. He allows a page of notes and prior semester tests to help with the test but he changes the questions so much that the prior tests don't do any good. Seriously don't bother!

He is a very kind and chill person. He really cares for his students but his class is extremely hard. Tests are similar to study guide but way harder. If you are not a math major stay away!! You will have to put in hours of effort to succeed. After 1 month half of the students dropped. He gives you a lot of opportunities to raise your grade.

He does care for his students, but his tests are extremely hard. He gives out tests from the past for you to study. He uses textbook! Even his tests and quizzes come from the textbook, so make sure you practice problems from it. Just go to the office hour, tell him your struggles, and he will help you! ***Not recommended for non-math major students

Really funny guy. Has an accent and is a little tough to understand sometimes. No participation needed so try your best to stay awake and engaged. Hard grader, probably would not have passed if i didn't take this class in high school. Lots of take home quizzes to help your grade. And you may use all past tests during the final.

Tests are difficult so ask for as much help as possible. sometimes he will give you the answer & you somehow still get it wrong. He does a lot of redo work which is how I managed to barely pass. Takes the top three test scores only. not the best at lecturing often times gets side tracked. homework is online just attempt them all & you get credit

He was a great teacher, not too much/not too less hw, and breaks down the material. The only downfall to it was that he was not very exciting. I tried to stay awake with his lectures but as a professor, he was very dry.

Tests are impossible, he put material that are not in the textbook and expect you to know materials from much more advanced math books. Very unreasonable grading. I feel like he graded totally based on his mood. People with 97% before the final gets an B in the end. No one can do the final cuz he never taught it, and they r not in the textbook.

You can tell he knows what hes talking about but he doesnt teach it well, he expects you to know whats hes talking about and he goes off on tangents a lot. Its hard to stay focused with and if you dont you wont be able to handle the test and if you dont pass the tests you dont pass the course

I took him for Differential during the summer session, and it was the hardest math class I have ever taken. His tests cover material that wasn't even in the textbook--he expects you to go above and beyond. His lectures weren't very great either. Pretty confusing, and he'd go off on tangents a lot.

Professor Tabara is such a great professor. You can tell his passion is teaching math. He really wants all his students to pass, tests are hard, but you can have cheat sheets and you can do test corrections after to raise your grade. Lectures can be a bit boring, but he throws in a few jokes here and there to get the class laughing. DO YOUR QUIZZES

Very smart professor who knows what he's talking about but sometimes goes too fast in lectures so you have to really pay attention. Tests are hard but he wants his students to pass and will provide extra credit opportunities. Overall good guy and pretty funny.

Definitely a smart guy. If you don't come to lectures, then don't expect to pass. But then again at this math level people will come to class with the flu. Hard exams, little to no partial credit on questions, expects you to know things that aren't in the chapter. Good couse though, and I think he's a good professor.
