Prof Yuill has to be my favorite professor. He is nice and funny, he gets off topic occasionally but somehow it all ties together at the end of the lecture. I never get bored in his class. I would suggest him to anyone.

Yuill now works at Old Dominion University, just in case anyone from ODU searches for him and finds this. Yuill is by far the best professor I've had. I've learned a lot (though not all of it pertained to class) and found him very helpful when I went to him about assignments.

Yuill is a nice guy and quite an interesting person. The only qualms about him is that he seems like he's in his own world, doesn't respond to emails whatsoever, and is a pretty tough grader. I got an A and three B+'s, and somehow only end up with a B+ for a final grade???? deflation maybe

Yuill is a great guy and the class is easy. I had to take it again because the credits didn't transfer from my other colleges. Yuill still hasn't given us a grade which sucks because its a requirement and I can't get my degree until he does.

Yuill is extremely passionate about poetry! He has high expectations for his students and takes great pride in editing student's work. Learned a great deal from his class lectures, and writing expectations. He is very animated and is all around knowledgeable! Excellent teacher/poet!

Prof Yuill did not teach writing. He taught poetry which he likes and went on and on and on about history and everything else but did not teach one thing about writing and then expected everyone to know what to do. He took up the entire class with his ranting and raving and then 5 minutes before class ended he would talk a about the assignment

Great professor...I didn't want to take the class but it was required...he made it fun and I learned a lot. Choice of reading material was good, class was never boring and he was available for extra help for anyone who took the initiative. Person who didn't like him must be borderline insane.

Stay clear and pick business writing. A classmate recommended him, big mistake of listening to her. He's really bright and picks great books, but quirky in his interpretations and picky on the way he wants your papers.
