Comment:

Dr. Stiller is a very funny professor who does his best to engage his students in different formats. For the last exam, instead of normal lecture notes, it was mainly about drawing. Every exam has a homework due the same day before class. If you review the study guides, you should get a good grade, provided you really take notes in class.

Comment:

He is always telling dad jokes. He cares about what he teaches and is very willing to help. Was able to skip the final because I had an A. He also posts all the tests on moodle after to help. Loves when the class participates. I would take him again!

RECOMMEND! Professor Stiller's class is informative and fun! I HIGHLY suggest refreshing your general knowledge over each topic BEFORE the lecture. He recommends reading the textbook, but quick YouTube videos will suffice. There are 4 test (including an OPTIONAL final) & 4 homework assignments total. He also posts all the PowerPoints on Moodle.

Comment:

Dr. Stiller is now one of my favorite professors. I loved his lectures and he jokes a lot which makes things fun. He expects you to read the textbook before classes and I just read the chapters before tests and it helped sooo much. Go to class! his lectures are a lot and he talks fast so record them. He helps you out in the end but work is required

Comment:

He is passionate about biology and funny to be around. He always lectures and rarely reads off the powerpoint which I find enjoyable although all ppts with all info you need to know is on moodle. When lecturing he always tells us "dont write this down." Write it down because it is hard to pass without notes. Only 4 hw assign and no extra credit.

Some will hate him and when you take him you may not like him but hes great. Hes funny and goofy. He talks fast so record his lectures and listen to them because he gives you exactly what you need to know. Study because the tests are 50 multiple choice. Usually helps you out at the end of the semester but you have to work for it. Loved him!!

Class isnt mandatory but he goes into detail about certain things you need to know for the test. There are 4 tests and a final. The final isnt mandatory. He drops the lowest test grade in case you miss one, but then you will have to take the final. This class can be really easy if you go to class and go over the material. He gives study guides

Comment:

very passionate about biology. thick German accent which can be funny but doesnt get in the way of learning. Sometimes frustrating when u ask a question & he takes 10 mins to answer. quizzes are from the questions at the end of each chapter. He reuses test questions. Class isnt mandatory except for exams but sometimes the lectures do help. Love!!

DO NOT TAKE HIM!!!!! THE WORST BIO TEACHER IN HISTORY!! This class was very difficult. He spent most of the lecture talking about things we didn't need to know. He answers questions in a very unclear manner. He basically wants you to teach yourself and then ask him questions after. Half the time you won't even understand what he is saying.

Whatever you do, just study. He wants you to read the textbook but if you hate reading like me, just study his powerpoints that he post on moodle and the review summary at the end of each chapter. He's pretty funny at times. lectures are straight but boring at times. Sometimes he does pop quizzes on chapters before teaching so beware of that.

Love love loveeee Dr. Stiller. He's super knowledgeable & his lecture (though sometimes can get long and boring) always have fun side stories and tangents. He only grades on tests and a few homework assignments, but he drops the lowest test.... As long as you're willing to study- you'll pass!! Defintley recommend him.

If you know what's good for you and your gpa, do NOT take him!! He tells us to read from the textbook but half of it isn't even on the tests. He gets off topic a lot so you never know if what he is saying is relevant or not. also, he does not give any extra points

Dr. Stiller was by far my funniest professor! If you do not study his lectures however, you will not pass! The intro exam you take at the beginning of the semester counts as bonus points. As long as you do good on the first 4 tests and content with your grade, you do not have to take the final.

Super funny and easy to understand in lectures. Gives great notes in class and posts notes online. Homework assignments are bonus on tests. Grades to where you dont have to take a final. The best teacher to take for sure.

Do not take this professor. Does not respond to email in a timely manner. You can visit his office as much as you want, the only thing he tells you is read the chapters. In class, he takes 8 mins to answer a question and often gets off on other stuff during lectures. He is very nice and friendly but, that does nothing for someone's GPA.

I was scared going into this course because it is designed for biology majors, which I am not, but Dr. Stiller made it very enjoyable. He's hilarious and gives very detailed lectures. As long as you study his powerpoints and attend class to hear what he adds to the notes, you'll do fine. AND TAKE THE HOMEWORKS SERIOUSLY! They helped save my A!

Comment:

Dr. Stiller is very passionate about Biology and tries to make his lectures fun. His homeworks are all for bonus points and they allow mulitple attempts. Be prepared to read the book chapters before class. Your lowest test grade is dropped at the end of the semester and the final is optional if you are happy with your grade.
