Terrible teacher. She is rude, not helpful at all, super unclear on assignments, and if you approach her to ask a question, be ready for a smart ass comment and no actual guidance.

Comment:

She's very easy to get along with. Theres only 4 total speaches the entire semester. As long as you follow her guidelines and ask her to review your speech before you give it, you will be fine. As for all the quizes, test, and final, it is all online. (so open note) So, as long as you actually write down what her powerpoint says, its an easy A.

Comment:

She is an older woman, and she has so many life stories and lessons that help me to better understand the topic at hand. This is a speech class summer minimester and she addresses the most important concerns and tips for public speaking. For a three week class, and only 3 days through right now, I know I'll get my money's worth.

She is very unprofessional. She will put you down in front of the entire class and make you feel stupid. Her criticism is usually not helpful, just inappropriate. Her powerpoints have a lot of good information about speeches but her class is pointless because most of it consists of her telling personal stories that aren't related. Not recommended.

Professor Lang is a great professor. She keeps class rolling and always presents a laugh in some way. She knows her material and is passionate about what she does. A very intelligent woman. Professor Lang is down to earth, and loves to laugh. Our class was scheduled to 9:30pm, but she let us out at 8:30pm, because of the lateness of the class. A+++

This has to be the worst teacher I have every had. I can usualy adapt to a teachers method of teaching but she uses the class as her guinea pigs for her want to be online class. She has her favorites in class and she critics your speeches very harshly. If you are scared to death of speeches DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS.

Very unclear in her teaching. Tends to be more interested in telling you about herself than how to construct a good speech. Will ridicule and embarass you at the drop of a hat. Don't bother asking questions, you'll just get a smart remark back.

Not clear on assignments. However, only four speeches were assigned and the tests were on Web CT. The tests came with practice tests, if you did the practice tests you had the correct answers for the Real Test. Not that bad of a class.

Might be the worst teacher I have had in 4 years at PCT. Doesn't assign anything clearly, very biased. Has good intentions but not trying to teach anything just be a pain. I didn't learn anything about giving a good speech and I have heard comments made by her contradicted by many, smarter people. Just choose another teacher!

I hated this class. You take all of your quizzes on WebCT but she never tells you when the quizzes are due or that there is even one on there to take. She brags all the time about being a minister, a drug counselor, a counselor at the prison, a teacher... She is very cocky and gets on your nerves easily.

I really dont like her at all. Everyone else hit the nail on the head...she's very biased and tells alot of personal stories. She is very opinionated and doesnt care much for yours. Also she thinks highly of herself cuz she got through school with a reading disability. she puts down stupid/ignorant people when they ask a question.

The comment about "throw away God" should ditched. Mrs. Lang is a great teacher. Just because you cannot ad lib and get away with it, it doesn't mean the teacher is bad. All it means is that the teacher knows if you are doing your work or not. Zelma is a great teacher. I am thankful to have taken her class!

did not like her at all. Very opinionated and does not care about your opinion at all. Write a speech about something she likes and your set. Write a speech about anything that means something to you and you fail. She is lousy.

Very different teaching style than what i was previosuly used to. Lets you know where you need improvement, but understands its a 100 level course, tries to make class more interesting by telling lots of stories.The class wasn't that bad, for being speech
