At first, he seemed unorganized and messy, but later you'll see that he's easy to follow if you do your homework. He'll recognize you if you sit in the front and visit his office. He really cares about everyone's grades and makes sure that he covers everything that comes in the exam and makes you work for it in class with pop but simple quizzes.

No clear agenda a set of notes to deliver. Appears to just "Wing It'. Material not completed in a timely manner. Last 30 sec of class verbally delivers important info that should be written. Wastes time. Too concerned about too many A's in his class. Manipulates tests difficulties to control grade scales. Incomplete material student responsible.

He makes it obvious that he knows what he is talking about, but his lectures are messy and hard to follow at best. He doesnt post notes online until the day before the test. He posts test reviews at the last minute and his grading criteria for tests is not clear at all. He goes on tangents, which makes it difficult to take notes and study.

Ok so I was a little skeptical at first but grew to really like this professor. He really knows how to keep a bunch of pilots who are literally just taking the class because we have to engaged. He gives extra credit and he notices when you come to class everyday and in time. He is fair and he wants you to succeed.

This class will definitely break habits of depending on a teacher to learn. Be prepared to crack open the book at lease for a hour per night if you want a good grade. If you are a beginner in physics be prepared to do alot of self teaching. He expects you to know parts of the chapter before coming into class. Treat class as review session.

Professor Berhane rarely stuck to his topic when giving lectures, often going off on tangents about unrelated things and still expecting us to know the material he planned on covering. His method of teaching didn't really mesh with me or half of the class because we are all retaking it now.

If you're in a physics program, he'll be fine. Do not take him if you're an engineer. He teaches very abstractly, giving you the general idea, and leaving everything in variables. For engineers, you will be confounded. Also assigns the most retarded HW questions where everything is conceptual. Physicists will like him because of how much he knows.

I took PS150 with him. I really enjoyed the class i wish he taught PS150. The evening tutorials were great and he is very helpful in his office when you can catch him. He seemed very busy with the EP students.

I REGRET taking Berhane.His class has no structure.He has office hours,but always excuses to why he wont be there.Very abstract way of teaching,and doesnt go by the book too much,so its hard to complement your notes w/ anything else.Said he helped students out,but left me and 6 others to sink.Seems like a nice guy,but take Bourov hes WAY better.
