Greer is a great professor! A really easy class, he takes attendance, but he doesn't penalize you as long as you are a good student. You do have to read your paper in front of everyone, but he always gives constructive criticism and finds something nice to say. We only wrote 3 papers all semester. Easiest A I've ever made!

Awesome professor! Makes class interesting and probably one of the easiest freshman english classes you can find. Get let out of class early everyday. Had to read papers out loud to class from your desk but we didn't have to many so it wasnt bad. Take him!!

Comment:

One of the nicest teachers I've ever had. Cares greatly about his students contrary to whats been said. While the class plan begins with 4 short stories it quickly becomes less. The creativity of my writing and the quality in which I develop my ideas has greatly improved by being in this class. Take it if at al possible.

Personally, This class was a waste of time. This professor has a one-sided way of viewing stories. I gained nothing from the class. Make sure he remembers your name-otherwords Don't count on getting an A. EXTREMELY Useless Teacher.

He is THE BEST! Always has a funny story, and cares about students. You don't do a ton of work in the class, and we usually get out fairly early which is a plus. TAKE HIM IF YOU CAN!

Very interesting guy, and very laid back. A pleasure to listen to. He's not a big lecturer -- he comments on the stories read aloud in class, answers any questions, and gives useful pointers about writing, but doesn't just sit and spew hot air for the entire period b/c it's expected. Class often gets out early. Take him. :)

Creative writing. He is always late by at least 10 mins. Initially we were to write 3 short stories; this quickly became 1 short story. Cancels class for ridiculous reasons. Gives no examination of the process of writing creatively, for which there exists numerous texts. I want to be a better writer. This class did not help me in the least.

this class is amazing. He only makes us stay for 30 minutes and tells some crazy story about something he's done and we get to leave. We vote on whether to have a quiz or not, and when we do they are ridiculously easy, like what is the main characters name. TAKE HIM!

Do not take this class for ENGL 282! I am a Junior and I have never made below a B and this class was a C!!! Take him for ENG 101 or 102 but NOT 282!!! Tests were all very hard and you must analyse the 3 peoms per class that were assigned. Be ready to read 6-7 novels about gothic literature as well!

I have never had so much fun in any class. He's random and a little bit wild, but he has complete knowledge of the English spectrum. Chances are you will make an A, but you have to come to class and it's worth it, I promise.
