Heavy Latin accent; very fluent and hard to understand at times. Doesn't necessarily 'teach' the class, rather gives assignments and leaves the room. Make sure you give good attendance and don't miss any assignments! Missing work strongly drops grade.

Comment:

Benigna is by far the best teacher I've had at BCC. She is not easy but you will learn a lot from her. She is very passionate about art and has had a lot of experience in the field. She goes above and beyond to help her students. She has inspired me to pursue printmaking.

She wanted to meet me to go over a project on Pre Rej day, so I came at four, which is when my appointment was, and my adviser said she wasn't there, so I left, and then she raged at me in class for not showing up, but she never told me WHEN to show up, she just said to come on Tuesday. And yet somehow that's MY fault. She always has to be right.

She picks and chooses her likes/dislikes in students, and then treats them accordingly. If a student she likes walks in an hour late, it's totally cool, but if she doesn't like you, she rages at you for 20 minutes. She always has to have her own way, and I'm sick of it.
