Comment:

Dr. Bishop teaches very well if you pay attention, ask questions, and look over your notes. His teaching style is very direct if a bit boring at times. Every so often he will roast the class, though it is usually deserved to be fair. He is very clear with his assignment instructions and grading criteria. If you want to learn, take this class.

Comment:

Quizzes every single class so you really can't skip. Homework is brutal annoying and very time consuming, but you can work with others on this. Not many tests, but they aren't easy by any stretch. He is not lenient and will fail you no problem. Kind of very condescending and self aware of his intelligence which can be off-putting.

This class is EXTREMELY DIFFICULT. Dr. Bishop teaches this class very poorly and doesn't seem to understand what he is teaching us. Every class you receive a class assignment/project which takes you at least the entire class period if not longer. These projects arlso extremely difficult to do because they are 3D projects on a 2D screen.

Every class starts out with a quiz on the last lecture, quizzes only count for 10% of your grade. Projects and Tests are most of your grade. For tests I suggest to get some friends together with 10 on each quiz and study from those. As for projects work in groups. You will come out this class without breaking a sweat for a 300 level course.

Computer literacy is probably the most boring class ever, but Bishop is the easiest teacher at the U for it. You'll enjoy the class discussions.

Boaring class but he's very knowledgeable about the subject. Has group discussions and minor projects once in a while that help your grade out. Easy class if you pay attention and study.

Comp Lit sucks and no one wants to take it, but since you have to make sure you take Bishop. He's this dorky teacher who sometimes does lecture the entire class but then he breaks it up with discussions that are easy. I seriously had no clue what I was doing in this class and still don't know anything about computers but I'm getting an A

Very boring guy. I'm not into computers at all and he literally talks for 50 straight minutes. Gives very unclear notes and most of the class you'll be wondering what he's talking about. Class is easy enough though, show up for the discussion sessions and read over your notes before a test and theres no reason you should do bad.

just talks the entire class and writes notes up on the board for us to copy. you don't even have to go because he doesnt take attendance and doesnt even know who you are. doesnt prepare you for the final at all because we don't open up the textbook once the entire semester yet half of the final is on the textbook. easy in a way but doesnt prepare u

Wasn't very interested to take this class, but its really easy. Dont need to buy the book, just take his notes. He literally write his notes on the board so you dont even have to listen to his lectures. Big project thats 20% of final grade...do it and you'll be fine. Take this class with him!

YOU NEVER HAVE TO GO TO CLASS......EVER. I went to so few classes that when we did evaluations, I wrote his name as Christopher Bishop on it. I got lucky when I showed up, there always seemed to be an EASY quiz, so I took my A- in the class and ran with content.

just remember he is DR. bishop. he is a horrible teacher, he just goes over the ppt given by the publisher of your book. although if you know anything at all about computers its an easy A, very friendly prof. and helpful. just do the work that he asks!

He's a nice guy and grades ridiculously easy. He gives the answers to the test before hand and the final project was a joke(everyone in the class got an A). The actual class itself is rather dull, but who doesn't an easy A?
