Prof. Videbaek is one of the most inspiring and incredible professors I have ever had the good fortune to work with. Both classes I took with her were outstanding in course content. She is remarkably insightful, very clever and witty, and truly an expert. She is kind and understanding and flexible with deadlines, and will make you a better writer.

Professor Videbeck is such a wonderful and caring human being. I was intimidated at first when I started the semester and yes there is a lot to read, but audiobooks can be the way to go especially if you have multiple books. Other than that she is extremely intelligent and will work and help you with anything you need. Love her so much!!!

Prof. Videbaek is genuinely one of the kindest instructors at this university. She's genuine and sweet and understanding and brilliant. I've taken several classes with her and each one has been incredible. She's quirky and very much a down to earth person. I'd take a bullet for her.

She's a sweet lady, but her classes focus way too much on the plot. Took three classes with her in all my time in SBU, and I haven't learned much at all.

Dr Videbak is a genuinely nice and caring person and is knowledgable about english. She will help you with anything you ask her related to the work and I wouldn't doubt she'd go out of her way to help you through a personal problem. Very with it and super down to earth. The wacky shirts and obscure pop culture references never end. Cool dame.

Prof. Videbaek is such a sweet woman. I took her class, which was fun and enjoyable, as I love Shakespeare. Her quizzes were easy as long as you did the readings. I had some trouble with the final paper but she was always there to help me out. Definitely recommend if you like English, reading, and Shakespeare. If you don't like to read, then no.

Took the class over the summer session 2. Go to class because she remembers who you are. There's a lot of reading and pretty much a quiz for each moviebook. There was a final paper that was really fairly graded. Basically if you go to class, do the reading, and write the paper you'll pass.

There's no single class that I enjoyed more than EGL 204 with Professor Videbaek. Great feedback on papers, interesting readings, and a wide range of material covered, from poetry written centuries ago to modern science fiction novels. I'm a Biochem major and I would still recommend this course to anyone who wants to improve their writing skills.

She's an amazing professor. Very helpful when you ask questions, funny, and likeable. If you're not an English Major you may find the paper writing difficult. She's kind of a tough grader, but it's worth it because she helps you improve your writing. Took two classes with her this semester and another next semester! She's worth it!

She's an amazing TEACHER. Her British Lit class is fun and she makes lectures feel less like lectures and more easy-going. She's a little bit of tough grader as well, but you just have to make sure your writing and thesis is clear and you should be ok. "surprise" quizzes that she usually tells you about. They ask really specific questions so read!

Professor Videbaek is, hands-down, my favorite professor at Stony Brook. She is sweet, hilarious, and she gives you a week to revise your paper after her initial grading. Highest grade stands. She knows how to handle a classroom, how to balance frequent hand-raisers and mimes. I would take a class of hers every semester if I could.

Watching the original Planet Of The Apes in class was cool. Warning there is a lot of reading in the class. Usually students are expected to read three hundred page books in one week. You will be quizzed weekly. No final exam, but you have 3,8 paged essays do. Hard grader. I worked my but off, but still enjoyed the class, because I used audio books

If you're looking for an easy DEC dont take it but if you genuinely like english and have time to spare then take her class. I'm a MAT major on the pre med track and had no time to even do the readings. She's a great person and tries to make class as fun as possible but i didn't have that kind of time unfortunately

Very nice woman.. She encourages friendly debates and for students to get their opinions about the book out. Class is a little hard because the topic is sci-fi but bente will ask you questions that will lead you to world themes. In general GREAT CLASS. 2 papers, the rest is participation credit!
