Dr. Tolman leads a fast paced, challenging class that remains fun. She's always willing to work with students during office hours if they are falling behind or are having trouble grasping a concept. I learned a ton in this class and feel prepared for the future science classes I will take upon graduation.

Cindy is a wonderfully fun person to be around and loves her classes and her students. Though the classes are fast paced and there may not be as much leeway for students with dyslexia, if you go to her after classes, she will be sure to help you with anything you want to know.

she is constantly unorganized and doesn't know how to teach well to people who have learning disability, this is a big issue at college that specializes on dyslexia and other learning differences. additionally the text book required for this course was next to useless to some one who has dyslexia and and other organization issues.

Cindy is definitely one of the more difficult teachers at Landmark - even in the Natural Sciences. Nonetheless, she is a creative, intelligent, and enthusiastic teacher who simply teaches a difficult subject matter. I am surprised by comments about her being bad with learning styles, as she has been very diverse in this semester's curriculum.

Just because you are a nice, intelligent person doesn't mean you know ANYTHING about teaching. Unfortunately this is true of Professor Tolman. Chemistry can be hard, but her disorganization, and TOTAL lack of knowledge and intuition when it came to the learning styles of her students made it even harder for me and several others in my class.

This is a tricky one - Dr. Tolman is a nice person and a very intelligent biochemist who is enthusiastic about her subject matter. However, if you can't share that enthusiasm and dedicate a significant chunk of time to studying and homework, it is easy to fall behind in this intense class.
