FIN 3507 is a tough class, but I think professor Mao does a great job making it easier to understand. The homework helps understand the concept and she takes the time to go over questions that students had a hard time. She answers emails quickly and she will explain homework questions thoroughly and help you come to the right answer. Take her!

Not an easy course, but professor Mao does a great job teaching the material. Super accessible, and provides tons of extra office hours. Welcomes questions, and good at clarifying misunderstandings.

Final is 40%. Not an easy class, no matter what teacher. Prof Mao. comes to class and teaches with enthusiasm, is extremely professional, and loves the topic of Finance. There are some small things imo that Prof. Mao could be doing to improve the learning experience. Not the best at walking through examples in class. HW's are difficult (use chegg)

2 exams 70%, bloomberg 5%, top hat participation 5%, 1 project 10%, and weekly hw 10%. Just show up, review the slides, and got the 1st exam almost full points. I think it's easy if you pay attention to her lectures. fair or easy grader.

She is amazing! Fin3507 is a tough course, but Prof. Mao described everything. DO THE PRACTISE EXAMS! They are almost same as the real exam. Try your best to participate and take note every class.

Great with office hours. However, the exams are extremely hard and do not relate to the topics covered and or practice exams given. You can do well in all other aspects of the course and find yourself possibly having to retake the course due to the curveball the exams give. I do not believe there is an efficient way to actually study for the exams.

HARDEST class I've taken my entire career. Tests are extremely hard,but are passable with the curve. Be prepared to study more in this class than any other. She once told me "Study three hours for every credit hour.," which means you should expect to study 12 hours a week for this class. She definitely not kidding around.

She is the most intellectual professor I've seen. Her tests are hard, but what can you expect? Its investment..She cares for students, always tries to help, and explains materials well. I do think she speaks perfectly English. Once again, her tests are not easy. Do your homework. and if you have probs, try to talk to her. she is sweet!!!

Great teacher. Well prepared lectures, she knows what she is talking about. She has an accent so bear with her. She has 3 tests and 1 group project. Test are easy if you do the homework. Final test is cummulative and is hard. Take advantage of teh project - you can boost your grade. Her class average is B. Connie is always available to help.

Tests are among the hardest. She gives no practice problems close to the difficulty level of problems which appear on her tests. She does give a project which you shoudl definitely take advantage of to boost up your grade. She is always avaiable for office hours which is a real plus. Not an easy class but a decent professor.

Decent teacher. Takes her job very seriously. I got a C but deserved it. If I put effort, I would have gotten A or B. She is fair, explains everything and gives fair tests. If you study hard, you'll do well, but don't expect an easy A or B. She is sometimes hard to understand.
