I love Dan! He's so funny and legitimately cares about all of his students. The class is a ton of work just because it meets 10 hours a week and then you have performances too, but it never fails to brighten my day once I'm there. Everyone is like a big family and it is wonderful to be part of that.

Professor Craig is very passionate about music. His lectures are interesting. That being said, if you are not willing to consistently work on papers, quizzes, and other music-related activities, I do not recommend this class. He is fair in his grading, but the class is not a challenge to take on if you're just in it for an easy A. (So many papers!)

Professor Daniel Craig is an amazing choir teacher. He gets stuff ready and does not tolerate people talking while working on music. He is well respected and deserves five stars! He is also caring and is easy to talk to if you have any troubles with classes or trying to audition for choir!

Comment:
Daniel Craig is a wonderful choir professor, I've taken his choir classes and done really well in them. He's a wonderful person in general and genuinely cares about you. BUT, for an introductory music course, there are WAY too many assignments and the material is really dense. Exams are in the form of short papers, quizzes are all online.

He was a great professor at the beginning, but as the semester wore on, he became more and more testy and prone to anger. Also, be ready for random performances that will be counted as mandatory. If you do not show up for any reason, unless it is a doctors excuse, you will fail the class.

Chamber Choir takes up a TON of time, but every minute is worth it. I have met some of my best friends through the course. Daniel is the most caring professor I've ever had. He will answer your callstexts even if it's in the middle of the night. He is a very passionate musician.

This class is cool if your someone that likes to work unnecessarily hard. You may intend for this to be a fun simple class where you can learn more about music, but you will end up getting bad grades because you cant memorize loads of music in short time periods and because you have to read and write just as much as you would in an English class.

This class is unnecessarily difficult and required a research paper and two other concert critiques (total of 15 pgs all together!!!) Listening exams also difficult. Don't take it if you don't absolutely have to.

He is a really down to earth and fun instructor but do not take this class if you plan on getting an easy grade. The assignments and tests ask a lot of you and you will have to put in the study time for the grade.

Father Craig is a great asset to the school. He makes Chamber Choir interesting. Even though I was not receptive to Madrigal music at first, he has made it more appealing. He is very humorous at times and he makes the class less awkward. He made my transition into college a great one.
